Hi! I just finished binge-watching FMAB and noticed that the characters and overall worldbuilding was really well-structured. So like, if anyone else has watched it and enjoyed it as much as I did, I would love to discuss the character arcs and overall awesomeness of the show with you. And if you haven’t watched it, please do. It’s amazing.

Yes! Finally! You don't know how many people I've met that said Winry is best girl. Like, she's cool, I guess, but not nearly as well developed as Riza. I get it, Winry's Ed's wife and all that grand stuff, but if you really look close, and value the character for who they become, Riza is just… chef's kiss

Roy was really great, not to mention how hard he made me laugh when he tried to use his power in the rain. Good gravy that was hilarious. But really, I think his role served a great purpose and really helped shape Edward as well as others.

But Maes Hughes… man that dude's death almost made me cry, like legit. He was such a good guy and funny too, Gracie's reaction was so sad. But hey, what can you do when you're just a simple plot device, am I right?

I think that Riza and Roy’s background character arc was really well done. But I mean, Winry and Ed have good character arcs too. Ed started out as a belligerent kid and ended up defeating the big bad, which was expected, but still. Also why is Ed considered the best character when Roy killed way more Homunculi than him? Just sayin.

Also, I have problems with May Chang. Yes, she’s adorable and I love her, and her relationships with Scar and Alphonse are very cute, but I have some problems. One, she’s a brat. But she is a princess, so I guess that’s to be expected. Two, she tried to assassinate a helpless, one-armed Lan Fan! Who does that??? I get that she had her reasons, but killing a helpless person? I doubt that will solve anything.

The EdWin ship is adorable, but I knew that they were going to end up together from like Episode One, without any spoilers. “Ah yes, the two heterosexual main characters will be in a relationship because obviously.” It was better done than some relationships with that degree of forced-ness, but still. Personally, I ship RoyAi more~

And Hughes. Oh, Hughes. I knew that he was going to die, so that made it all the more painful. WHYYYY. Brb, having a breakdown over here.

Ed didn't kill the Father alone. EVERYONE HELPED. And it wasn't an asspull either! Hoenhein had a plan he took years to realize, and had to give up his family, the people he loved the most, to be able to pull it.

Man I just love FMA.

No one person is overpowered and they all have their weaknesses. Except maybe Mustang. He seems kinda OP to me, but he has issues so no one is perfect, which is what makes it such a good show.

Additionally: Black Hayate is still best doggo.
