So in my story I have 'dragon -like' animals that have a wolf's body, dragon scales underneath, and large bird wings, with horns….. (sounds much cooler in my head)AND I need names for both males and female creatures/characters.
It's kinda weird because they will be able to communicate with their kind and humans both telepathically and verbally. They do have magic abilities and it varies from creature to creature.
So one of the names I have is Dra'Kain….its okay but I would like so more options.
PLEASE HELP!
a link to my creatures plus pics and no I don't own any of the pictures… not that artistic
I'm no good at creating names but generally when I create dragon names I tend to gravitate toward names with the following letters ; K, X, R for the beginning and a middle or end with either H or N. Also, make your names longer and a bit dark-ish. Like, for example from the show Merlin, one dragon is called Killgarrah and the other Aithusa. Other examples from GOT are Drogon, Viserion, Rhaegal, Arrax, Morghul. Take inspiration, and mix words.
If you're creating male and female versions of creatures, I would recommend going down the Monster Hunter route. The Rathalos and the Rathian are two wyverns, male and female respectively, and both names are similar, but different to the point where hunters can recognize what they're fighting. That doesn't happen for any of the other monsters though, unless you count Diablos and Black Diablos, and they're only black because of their hormones during mating season. All they do is break stuff and scream loudly, which sounds an awful lot like my sister when ToM's in town.
I came up with Xain, Mahain, Bihae (I don't even know how to pronounce it but it looks cool ig?), and Juhal. I hope you find them useful/they gave you inspiration :)
What about Ascendite? (According to google translate) it means scale in latin.
Ahriman, Arundhati, Arwhan, Bashemeth, Barbhan, Daeva, Drayce, Fawziya, Haldis, Hasmed, Hoenir, Kaysar, Libitana, Markandaya, Menoetius, Sephtis, Thanatos, Tohopka,
Hope these helped!
