@ccb37 I love gekkan shoujo, and the relationship between those two characters is specifically why (plus Mikoshiba's friendship with Chiyo). More power to page and jesse! Are page and jesse in a sort of rivalry, and if so do they see each other as equally matched?
@CyanPluto there were definitely elements of one at first (with more jealousy on jesse's end than page's, which iirc is kind of how it was with mikoshiba and kashima), but the similarity in their dynamic is more the "[happy-go-lucky boyish girl/self-conscious pretty boy] bffs who are both very attractive to most of the people who meet them" kinda thing. (also mikoshiba and chiyo's friendship is so cute too. one of my favorite scenes in the whole show is when chiyo + nozaki are trying to help mikoshiba practice for the mixer it's so cute)
