@AJMaskell

Hey guys, what are some of your craziest or most unusual character names?
Mine's probably Degenhardt Marrionneaux (Pronounced Dee-gen-hart Marion-no)

@TheBritishKoala

Mine are usually more tame, but i suppose you could count gaelic/welsh/celtic names due to their spelling. Though try and avoid any that are too over the top as they may confuse the reader to no end.

@Dragoncita group

A lot of my dragons and other creature characters have odd names
Here's a few of them;

Lamonor
Jundofaalsahqoshul (Jun for short)
Gormag
Equuleus
Tyriohn
Tahrovin
Nidatri
Imruck

All of the names for my gods are kind of strange, mostly because they're all names I made up. So just to name a few:
Laetvjel
Leur-Addna
Ondreiia
Aedrek
Teinefríd
Miir-Kyne
In the book, I'll have a little dictionary and pronunciation guide, though… so it won't be too bad hopefully

Adreldrea
Serrill
Fendrel
Kharg’noc
Bazexan
Or’Allon
Gilrixath
These are all from the same story arc. I love them. Half of them are demons or half demon. Only Serril and Fendrel are human

Most of my character names are pretty straightforward. As a reader, I don’t really like names that are difficult to pronounce so I try not to incorporate that into my writing.

My two weirdest names are probable Solque and Ara.
Solque is pronounced Sol-Kay and I think it’s the only name I have that isn’t pronounced exactly the way you would think it is.
Ara is also not that weird on its own, but it’s being used as a man’s name in this context (I’ve had a few people tell me that they thought he was a girl). Another fun fact about his Ara is that his full name is Arakel Rafael Azaryan, so his initials actually spell out his nickname.

My weirdest name is probably Skyke (pronounced Sky-key). She's an alien electrician, so her name is a tad bit stranger than some of my other characters. I also have Artimae, although that one's pretty straightforward to pronounce.

@Blossom_Utonium

It's not crazy, but it is long: Lacelynn Lily Maeve Constance Alexandrina of Davenport

@Echo_6 group

I don't know if mine are that crazy but they aren't normal, so here you go.

Tolkalee Sylali
Tonakee Sylali
Kinashki Falentin
Roshiel Garciel
Rokendil Garciel

That's not all of them, but it's a few.

A lot of my Eldritch horrors have the ‘craziest’ names. The Eldritch Siblings are tamer, going by Sinistra*, Vryllost, and Acigokon, with their creator named ‘Ebrioxhotl’.
Here are the more.. trickier ones.

Aiuetrap'ithix
Itegnnu
Oghougne
Vh'aogr'ithixz
Iviogg'itrixz
Doudrr'xel
Yokthouzhotl
Z'iognn'less
Mh'andu

And many more.

*Not its real name.

Metaphorical and Neophyte (which is actually a word)

Blue butterbeer

I don’t have any crazy character name but I have a character named Everin, but everyone calls him Ever and make puns about his name (for example, by saying “For Ever”

@WaffleWizard

One of my craziest was probably Ravona Windbecker.
Another story included: Rylo, Breon, Sophica and Kinder.
Though I have problems with writing characters names when they're not written phonetically. I have forgotten how to spell their names on occasion and now I just stick too normal sounding names.
