@Celestial-B

Whoa this is long lol

Name: Lillith Melbourne (Most people just call her Lilly though)
Age: 15-16
Height: 4'9 (shes a shorty)
Weight: 90 lbs
Birth date: April 1st
Birthplace: Unsure yet, somewhere in a big city in America probably
Color hair: Light beige blonde
Color Eyes: Forest green
Scars or handicaps (Physical, Mental, Emotional): A lot of scars, bruises, and cuts. She tries to hide them because she feels ashamed of them and that they make her less beautiful. She's very short for her age, her mom was also very small and so is her father. She is very dependent on her friends because her anxiety and depression keeps her from doing much for herself
Other Distinguishing traits (Smells, Voice, Skin, Hair, etc.): She has shoulder length hair. She's not as physically weak as most people would believe she is and gets stronger throughout the story. Very pale skin, not quite ghostly but pale. Constantly trying to smile, fails most of the time. Naturally curly eyelashes.
Educational background: Sophomore in high school, or in 10th grade. She is super smart in math, English, and science. Shes a straight A student and works so very hard to keep it that way. She is pressured by her parents to get good grades. If she doesn't, her father gets angry with her and, well, hits her.
Work Experience: N/A
Military Service: N/A
Martial Status: Single Pringle ;D (currently) Sometime later in the series she starts to develop a crush and it starts to progress from there
Best Friend: Grant Mendel. They've been best friends since like, first or second grade. And Trinity Connell, her girl best friend after Grant introduced her to them.
Men/Women Friends: Mathew and Michael Johnston, Payton Stewart.
Enemies: Darya, who is an ex goddess type thing lol. Well, its a really long story. Lets just say that she is trying to kill off some other gods for revenge and she and her friends were thrown through a portal to another universe to stop her from trying to do that.
Parents (Who? Where? Alive? Relationship?): They are very much alive and live in their small house with her. They don't have a great relationship at all. They were a wonderful, loving family at one point, but then somewhere along the way everything got messed up. Her dad lost his job and once he couldn't find another, he started drinking and just gave up on everything. Her mom is the only way she is able to even eat every night and go to school, she works all day from 7 a.m. to sometimes 12 a.m. Her mom stopped talking and obeyed her father like she was his slave, Lilly suspects she does this because she is afraid of him. Sometimes her father disappears without reason and Lilly is left alone by herself most of the day. When her fathers drinking gets bad, he gets angry at the slightest things and hits her, and sometimes even throws things at her.
Present Problem: Average teenage stuff, anxiety, depression, stress, popularity, school. And, the fact that every couple of days she and her friends are thrown back and fourth between earth and another planet so they can try and stop this villain and report back to earth about it.
Greatest Fear: Being alone. She hates loneliness and silence. Since she is always a lone, she is sick of it and it makes her feel unsafe and nervous.
How will problems get worse: Well, she and her friends start to find stuff out about each other that some of them would rather have left secret. The villain learns when she and her friends powers are most powerful and are at their weakest points so she can figure out when to attack them.
Strongest Character Traits: Extremely smart, kind, always willing to help, very loyal, knows when enough is enough, thinks before she speaks.
Weakest Character Traits: Very shy, dependent, innocent (would that count?), a bit of a crybaby, tends to put others before her (both a good and bad thing I guess), occasionally naive and gullible, constantly on edge and flinches at fast movements, because of her father.
Sees self as: A short girl who disappoints everyone around her and doesn't try hard enough at anything and cries too much.
Is seen by others as: Her friends - a cute shorty who deserves better than what shes got. Other (bullies) - A dumb mouse that never talks and is fun to tease.
Sense of humor: Shes one of those people who laugh at pretty much everything either because she thinks they are hilarious or because she feels bad that no one else thought it was funny.
Ambitions: Stop Darya, be more liked, have a family
Philosophy of life (include how it came to be): "Be curious, not judgmental." -Walt Whitman. She has been so wrongfully judged and hurt in her life. She never wants to miss judge someone and have them feel the same way she does.
Hobbies: She loves to paint and sketch. That is how she distracts herself when she is feeling down or when she is bored. She also loves to sing and it actually really good at it, but she doesn't think she is and is far from admitting it. Lilly also writes in her journal/diary every day and carries it everywhere with her. She writes her deepest and most secret secrets and feelings in there and she says she would die if someone read it.
Preferred type of music, art, reading material: She listens to soft, calming music like classical music. She also sometimes listens to pop music and anything aesthetic. She paints and sketches to her hearts content. She likes to read fantasy and realistic fiction books.
Dialogue tag (idioms used, speech traits, e.g "you know"): Repeats words when shes scared. Repeats whole sentences sometimes because she gets distracted easily. "Gosh," "Darn," "Heck," "Frick." Says "Um," and "Uh," a lot.
Dress: Anything cute and girly. She loves skirts, dresses, frills, ribbons and bows, anything like that!
Favorite Colors: Pastel colors, but mostly pastel pink, purple, and blue.
Pastimes: Drawing, singing, day dreaming
Description of home (Physical and the “feel”): A small white house. Has one main room which is the living room, then opens up into the kitchen and dining room (the same room). A small hall in the back of the dining room leads to a tint bathroom and two bedrooms. The living room has shaggy carpet, a small tv on the wall, and two lounge chairs by it. The kitchens got everything you'd have in a normal kitchen, except a lot less food and the dining room just has a small table with four chairs. Her parents bedroom has a giant, king sized bed with beautiful curtains hanging over the window. There is also a desk that sits in the corner that her father used to use for his work. Lilly's bedroom has a small bed with flower prints on it. Her window is covered by blinds and she has a white dresser that holds the few clothes she has. She also has a chair next to it where she leans over and paints onto pieces of paper. Her house has kind of a feeling that makes you want to leave after a few minutes of being there. It feels almost like someone is watching you even if no one is in the room.
Most important thing to know about this character: No matter what she does, everything is because she wants the best in others. She believes that everyone has good in them, even when they are doing bad; she wants everyone to think the same.
One line characterization: ??
Key questions: Idk
What trait will make this character come alive, and why?: I'm not sure, I think all of her flaws make her even more human and the fact that she loves everyone, no matter what.
Why is this character different from other similar characters?: Hmm, just what I said before, her love for everyone, even the bad people.
Do I like/dislike this character, and why?: Boy she is my child. She has gone through so many different variations of her current self, she's been with me since I started writing and drawing, she is my first character I ever made. I have this like, emotional attachment with her lol. And she has so many realistic traits that many of us are facing right now. I think others will also find this attachment with her too.
Will readers like/dislike this character for the same reasons?: Idk, I hope so.
Characters who are remembered are those who are strong in some way—saints, sinners or a combination. For what will this character be remembered? For her kindness and love. And the fact that no matter how much she might want to give up, to just stop, she'll always end up pulling through for her friends.

Wow that was long lol.

@AmmyPajammy

Sheesh, I bet that was an undertaking! I was flip-flopping on whether or not I should do this, but if you could, I guess I could too!

@Story_Siren group

Name: Scarlett Arielle Morales

Age: 15

Height: 5'4

Weight: 160 lbs.

Birth date: June 4, 2004.

Birthplace: Oregon.

Color hair: Fiery orange.

Color eyes: Laughing blue.

Scars or Handicaps (Physical, Mental, Emotional): Mentally, has ADHD Hyperactive, rarely takes medication. Physically, has so many scars from getting into so many crazy situations. Scarlett is a hardcore daredevil.

Other distinguishing traits (Smells, voice, skin, hair, etc.): Usually smells like sweat and roses. Has a middle-rang voice, so people really like to talk to her. Has orange freckles across shoulders and in a straight line down her back. Her hair’s always a poofy mess.

Educational background: Freshman.

Work experience: Currently a grocery bagger.

Military service: N/A.

Marital Status (Include reasons): Currently single. Has had three boyfriends, who she broke up with once they tried to get to first base :

Best friend: Emma, her twin.

Men/women friends: She’s trying to become friends with Laura, but it’s not really working. Sort of friends with Alexa??? Cole’s nice, and Andrea is too.

Enemies (Include why): None, so far. Scarlett is more of a “live and let go” person.

Parents (Who? Where? Alive? Relationship?): Mom and dad, both alive and living in Oregon. Married, but not at a good point right now.

Present problem: Doesn’t have a filter, and doesn’t think before she acts. This is getting Scarlett into more and more hot water with teachers and people alike.

Greatest fear: Being left behind. it’s why she’s such a whirlwind of energy; if she disrupts the status quo, everyone will remember her.

How will problem get worse? Eventually gets severely hurt doing a trick and has to get taken to the hospital. When she comes back, everyone is convinced that she was faking being hurt (why? rumors spread from very familiar cliques)

Strongest character traits: Very optimistic, upbeat. Extremely protective of her twin. A cheerleader for everyone. Smart like her twin, figures things out by messing around with them.

Weakest character traits: Extremely reckless. Doesn’t think before saying things. Short temper. Has low self-esteem. Can switch moods in the blink of an eye.

Sees self as: Depends on the day. Sometimes, a cutie who is the sunshine to brighten up people’s days. Other day, she’s a tiny idiot who just annoys people.

Is seen by others as: Scarlett isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. She’s optimistic, but almost dangerously so for some people, and others think that her joy is just fake. So she’s either seen as a ray of sunshine that a person looks forward to, an emo trying to fake happiness, or at worst, an attention-grabbing idiot. Unfortunately, Scarlett usually doesn’t realize some people don’t want her around until it’s too late.

Sense of humor: She likes self-deprecating jokes the best.

Ambitions: Wants to keep all her Bs and Cs. School is somewhat hard for her, so it takes a lot of work keeping up her grades. Besides that, finding her role in life.

Philosophy of life (Include how it came to be): “Live life to the fullest, and the bad days won’t be so bad.” Having AHDH hyperactive, and not taking medication, means that Scarlett’s on constant highs and lows. She knows that’s why she’s so bouncy and reckless. But when she takes medication, that’s when the low days begin.

Hobbies: Parkour, fixing her mom’s car, chatting with friends, organizing parties, listening to music.

Preferred type of music, art, reading material: Likes Imagine Dragons and Halsey. Art is nice, Scarlett prefers more modern ones. Likes to read adventure and romance.

Dialog tag (Idioms used, speech traits, e.g. “you know”): Constantly goes on tangents. Snorts while laughing. Still has issues with picking up other people’s body language (like when they was to be done with a conversation).

Dress: EVERYTHING. Scarlett dresses however she wants; a gorgeous heel length dress one day, and a rocker get up the next.

Favorite colors: Bright orange and grey.

Pastimes: Making videos of her self doing parkour, daydreaming, hanging out with Emma, thinking of her new trick

Description of home (Physical and the “feel”): A small two story home. Scarlett’s parents sleep upstairs, at the far end of the hall. Scarlett and Emma have a room at the beginning of the hall. There’s a small kitchen/dining room (painted blue), living room (painted light yellow), and bathroom (painted red) on the first floor. The twins’ rooms (painted horizontally yellow and gray on Scarlett’s side, and sky blue on Emma’s side), their parents room (just grey), a bathroom (white), and a storage room (grey) reside on the second floor. Scarlett likes her house, but she always feels a little boxed in.

Most important thing to know about this character: She falls a lot, but she always gets back up. Always. With isn’t necessarily a good thing.

One-line characterization: ???

Key Questions: ???

What trait will make this character come alive, and why? I have not found a lot of ADHD characters where the story is explicitly about their ADHD. Worse yet, stories that I do find with characters with disabilities are usually “oh, woe is me!” Scarlett is the exact OPPOSITE of that. She knows she has ADHD, and takes it into stride. But is it the right stride? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Why is this character different from other similar characters? She’s reckless, and fearless, and doesn’t know when to stop. But she’s also confident.

Do I like/dislike this character, and why? I love Scarlett, I feel like she’s a more extroverted, reckless version of me.

Will readers like/dislike this character for the same reasons? I hope so.

Characters who are remembered are those who are strong in some way—saints, sinners or a combination. For what will this character be remembered? Scarlett will be remembered for her joy, and spreading it to everyone no matter what.

Wow, that took so much time, heh! But I actually learned something new about Scarlett, so yay!

@calellory

ok he's not technically the protagonist but he's a really major character and I love him

Military service: none.

Marital Status (Include reasons): single. he's mostly been pining after Rosie bc he hasn't noticed that she's gay

Best friend: Rosie Boot. (she's actually closer to protagonist but I wanted to to)

Men/women friends: Ada Williams, the baker/caterer across the street (who's the real protagonist). also her nephew Clarence but he's only there every other summer

Enemies (Include why): Tucker Turnstike, who lives down the street and literally they've met once but Tucker told him that Rosie wouldn't ever like him back that way and then proceeded to flirt with for the next 15 minutes (he didn't notice that part)

Parents (Who? Where? Alive? Relationship?): They still live back on the farm, and he writes them regularly. They've always gotten along pretty well. They're proud of him.

Present problem: Tucker, mostly. They keep showing up to talk to him and he tries to be polite but he does not want to talk to them

Greatest fear: supernatural things, mainly ghosts. They're not really a problem but he's pretty superstitious

How will problem get worse? Tucker's fake cousin runs him over in a carriage and he would have died but their other fake cousin turned him into a vampire and he ends up living in their house

Strongest character traits: politeness, loyalty, general easygoingness

Favorite colors: he doesn't really have one, he never really saw the point of it

Pastimes: he likes to mess around with wood, like whittling little figures

Description of home (Physical and the “feel”): you know the Hufflepuff dormitory in Harry Potter? It's like that but without plants. It's warm and bright and kinda messy and

Most important thing to know about this character: Sometimes he wants to tell people to fuck off (definitely not in those words) but also he doesn't want to be rude

One-line characterization: Nice guy, not too bright

Key Questions: I don't know what this means

What trait will make this character come alive, and why? He's so bad with words. He is Not Good at talking to anyone?? ever?

Why is this character different from other similar characters? I don't know. He probably isn't.

Do I like/dislike this character, and why? I love him bc he's so dumb and clueless and also just a genuinely nice person

Will readers like/dislike this character for the same reasons? I mean I hope so

Characters who are remembered are those who are strong in some way—saints, sinners or a combination. For what will this character be remembered? I mean he's not exactly a saint, he doesn't do very much, but he's a far cry from a sinner
