This is meant to give an overall look of the house, it's kind of an earthship (look it up on youtube, it's really nice) and I was wondering if you could get a feel of it?
Maybe give me some tips on what need to be described more.
Sound quite cozy, actually. I love it. The only thing I could think of to add is history and/or some mystery. Had anyone owned the house before him? If so, what did they do to the house? What memories were left behind? Have storms and natural disasters done a toll on the house? Have animals come and gone leaving things behind- Like claw marks, snake skins, etc. Maybe there are unexplored areas that look dark and kinda scary. Also, perhaps give the house a personality. Not "the house is alive" more like the personality of the owner and/or previous owners personality coming through it. Like a room where the walls are painted in murals or in vibrant colors. Or cracks in the walls from past or present owners. Somethin' personal to the owner or to you. You did do that with the plants but maybe do some more so people have a general feeling for what kind of a person he is. That's all, I think. By the way, I looked up a earth ship and let me just say, WOW, I'd love to have a place like that.
Finn is the first owner actually! he build it with a couple of friends and it's almost 1,5 year old, so 'marks of being lived in' still have to come haha, but that's a great thing to keep in mind indeed.
Earth ships are great because they are self sustainanable, and since the main character comes from an abusive household, it's a reference to taking care of yourself i guess?
