I'm designing my main character's race and i've came to a roadblock.See, up to a certain point i was going to have them have cat-like faces, and then I discover the Na'vi of Avatar. -_-
(My sister says they don't look too much like the Na'vi, but I'm playing it safe)
So I'm thinking of fitting four eyes on their faces (among other things), but I want to keep a humanoid face and was wondering if anyone had suggestions for that.
Also do you think that bioluminescent stripes would be darker than surrounding skin when not glowing?
I think bioluminescent stripes would be lighter than the surrounding skin. As for the eyes, you could make one pair smaller than the other pair, which would make them easier to fit. Or you can make them have eyes on the sides of their head, for example, or on top! That way there's still room for a humanoid face
Okay, I will keep that in mind!
Also, I'm designing tendril-like 'hair' that is sensitive to the atmosphere, and I want them to kind of be feather-like without looking exactly like feathers and was wondering if any of the creative people on here had any suggestions for that.
Maybe sort of like frayed yarn? Do you want it to be soft or rough?
I was thinking soft. Yarn is really a good idea! Thanks @TopazWyrmlet~
Any time! Happy to help, and good luck with your story! :D
