What would be an example of a vocal stim? Would it be similar to tics?
The idea of giving her a pair of goggles is really cool. She's so cute already, I feel the goggles would add a little something to her. I think that I'll give her some but she won't get them right away, maybe in the future she has a problem that causes her to make a mistake during a mission.
A necklace sounds like a good idea, I think I'll make her have a beaded necklace that has different sizes and shapes of beads but it is magnetised so it could be used as a tool.
I've heard that autistic people dint like to be touched, if this is completely accurate, do they have some issues in the romantic aspects of their lives?
Also I'm not sure if this is the correct term for it, but when they get overstimulated, they tend to have some form if a breakdown right? If so, what does that look like?
(I apologize in advance if my questions are annoying or offensive in anyway)
Not offensive at all! Thanks for asking! Some autistic people don't like to be touched at all, but most of the time they like it if it's on their own terms. I hate hugs unless I'm the one initiating them. So for romantic aspects, she wouldn't have much trouble as long as her partner is making sure any sort of touching is consensual.
As for the meltdowns, yes, those can happen if we're overstimulated. My personal experience with them is much like a panic attack: my breathing gets quick and shallow, I can't handle any sort of noise or lights, and I can start crying. The best thing to do in that situation is to quickly, calmly, and safely remove the person from the situation that is stressing them out and offer them some sort of comfort if they would like it: a fidget, food, water, being hugged, or just being left alone until it passes.
And yes, my vocal stims are a lot like tics. I have quite a few, including just absently going "bapbapbapbapbap" and my personal favorite, saying "bees" in a British accent.
