im working on a fantasy story and honestly i have no idea where it's going

Kill of a character, make characters fall in love, have a character be kidnapped

Platonic friendship, character exploring the fantasy world, reflecting on their life that had led up to this point

Have a character need to go find or deliver something so they have to travel around your world for certain leads/clues or items.

Ummmm have one of the characters turn evil and thus become the antagonist. This creates trust problems and emotional turmoil amongst the other characters etc. Or have it turn out that one of the characters is related to/has a link with the antagonist which then causes the other characters to mistrust them. Or just some of the characters mistrust them and the others trust them thus causing discord. Because this kinda dysfunctional group stuff adds to tension. Or something.

The group knows that someone is not who they say they are (maybe on the side of the antagonist), but they don't know who. Creates trust issues, accusations, etc.

Totally random: Have a baby dragon or some other baby mythical creature sneak into the protagonist's bag and pop up at the worst time possible. (Ex: School, bathroom, funeral, wedding, etc.)

You can have a character that can mind read and she falls in love with a dude, only to find out that he likes someone else. so she finds the girl the dude is attracted to and reads her mind, but (BOOM PLOT TWIST) she finds out that the girl is gay and actually likes her.

so like a very complicated love triangle…

I've actually been posting writing prompts in the General Writing Forum. They all start with "Writing Prompt". You could try to write a scene there and build off of it forwards or backwards.

You could write about a boy, who loses his memory when young and has now recovered. Now acting a bit younger that the kids in his class , he often fails building his self esteem to a point that will somehow make his father proud. This bond between making his father proud and wanting to be accepted drowns him with doubts that once never left him. He discovers that his past self left notes for him to find ,to discover how his family had been a major part of the incident. During the plot he meets his past friend and both boys decide to put two heads together to discover what really happened in 1996 where (what ever name) was born and who is the boy in the mirror who claims the same name as him. Nothing much but a college hunt for the mystery of the black haired loud out-spoken bot who fell to his future.

Character gets injured another character is put in charge of taking care of them, we get to see a little more of their depth…?
