forum can someone please help me come up with witch coven names

I need some witch coven names and I'm stumped. Things that could also be used as a last name would be good

some of the best names are actually easy when you think about it. i would use names that have to do with what witches use and where they like to be. that means using words like moon, brew, thatched(from thatched cottage, where i imagine them to live), creep, fumes, broom, and others. this gives you names like Creepfume, moonthatch, enchant, spell, hex, and things like that. you can also copy names from famous witches from plays and greek myths, like circe, ursela, medea, merlin, morgan… i could go on and on.

for names of covens and such, use words like moon, eve, solstice, blood, fire, elemental, spirit, midnight, twilight, eclipse… again, i could just keep going. you could also look up actual events and use those. try and make the events name line up with what actually happens there. that means that at the half moons eve its night time, not broad daylight. good luck

Literally ANY surname could become a coven name, especially for hereditary witches.

Where are your covens located? Regional, ethnic, ancient surnames / family names make great coven names for hereditaries. Everyone knows the Sanderson Sisters from the movie Hocus Pocus.
The Owens sisters were the stars of the movie Practical Magic.

What KIND of witches belong to the covens? I'd be happy to help as I belong to two covens myself at present.

If you want to make them like a secret coven of witches (if witches are hunted or something) I can come up with some pretty strange names that sound kind of magical. Otherwise, I think you have a lot of good options!
