Paisley looked up and looked around. She could've sworn someone called out her name. Shrugging, she looked back down at her computer. It had turned off on her and now it wouldn't back on again. All her work was down the drain.
"Paisley?"
She looked up again and this time her eyes turned to the counter, where a barista held a cup in her hand. She said her name again and Paisley frowned. She stood up and walked over to the counter.
"Um, I didn't order anything," Paisley told her.
"Yeah well the girl with the red hair ordered it for you. Said your name was Paisley. Are you gonna take it or not?"
Paisley took the cup and saw it was a vanilla frap. She then looked around for the girl. She spotted her sitting down at table by the window. Immense guilt filled Paisley. She felt bad for telling her to go away, so she ordered another vanilla frap and walked towards her.
Paisley handed her the second vanilla frap and said, "Can I join you?"

The door chimed as Mae entered the coffee shop. "Oh great.. like today can get any better," she muttered. Lydia and her group of goodie-two-shoe friends were here. Again. Trying her best to ignore the constant drone of voices she ordered a triple-shot expresso. Today she really needed a boost. Scarlet was sitting in her usual corner, but who was that girl sitting next to her? She would have to find out later.
She took up at seat in the far corner that let her view the entire café clearly. If someone were to ask her she could most likely connect every face in the room with its proper name and some other minor details. Not like she knew any of them personally. To them she was just another face in the crowd. It didn't matter if she went to the same school as some of them. People tended to just ignore her, and she was fine with that. She glanced over in Scarlet's direction again. Who could that stranger be? Why did they look familiar?
the door chimes again a tall man with a beard and longer hair walk in and ask for a mapel spring shot and walks to the corner. "oh sorry i usually sit here in the morning".
(Okay, so with all these different characters, we’re gonna need a timeline. So I say it begins with Lydia and Paisley confronting each other. After they talk Paisley goes back to her report, where Scarlett come in. Afterwards, Paisley and Scarlett talk while Mae comes in, followed by the tall man with the beard. What do you guys think? It’s just that things are starting to get confusing.)

Oh which table does the man with the beard go to, Mae's or Scarlett and Pasley's?
(I would Paisley and Scarlett’s table, to make Mae wonder even further on why there were so many new faces.)
(Oh and I have a thought. Maybe the man and/or Paisley could be working with the antagonist of the story. And Mae could be the one that is suspicious while the others aren’t. Just an idea.)
