I'd love to see everyone's OC art because personally, I love sketching characters, however bad at drawing I may be…

@Kaloobia

Oh Dude I'm really into art too??? For me writing and drawing have always been super intertwined, they're both a form or story-telling after all.
I'm actually doing a series for Pride month, a couple of my OCs for each day that's representative of a different LGBTQ+ identity!

Just some examples (excuse the use of the outdated lesbian flag, I've since tried to change it but I started the project before I became aware of the change). Most of these characters actually have pages here on notebook . ai haha
I'd love to see your work, even if you don't think it's good! I think putting your work out there is just another way of improving ^^

I'm sure you're a great artist…BUT I CAN'T SEE YOUR DRAWINGS WHEN I CLICK ON THE LINKS!! I have a lot of loved ones who are LGBTQ+ so yea….PRIDE! <3

@Kaloobia

Ahh dammit :/ never done images before, it's v frustrating haha, sorry for just filling up the room. Can I get back to you when i figure out how to work those images? And thank you for your hypothetical faith in me :')

@Kaloobia

Aah thank you! I'll probably hate the pieces in a couple of months, but that's such a universal and normal thing for artists to feel; you can only get better, and saying "this piece sucks" after the fact shows that you've improved, or that you know you CAN improve. And I think that's the most important thing. Not to sound old and annoying, but practice makes perfect ^^ Most days I HATE what I've done, too, but then I'll show things I'm like 1/8 proud of to a friend and they'll flatter me and make me feel better (or else heighten my impostor syndrome, but we won't talk about that haha). I think if you like drawing, doing it often is the best way to improve. Only if you want to, of course! Often times just keeping it a small hobby makes it more fun.

The thing about art is that you have to stop comparing yourself to other people. Go at your own pace. Everyone started out drawing stick figures and scribbles. And you can never stop improving and changing you're art. It's a process that never stops evolving! But I understand not feeling confident about your art, it's an affliction that plagues many artists haha. Sorry, just wanted to put this out there :)

Oo, I have some oc art! It's a before-after situation for an anatomy lesson I was in for a while.

I love it!!
