I just imagine her being in a forest at her lil camp with hanging herbs and flowers on vines, and somehow a little girl finds her and befriends her. Absinthe finds her annoying at first and tries to scare her away but after some time she becomes fond of her. Absinthe isn't much of a talker but notices the girl has a green thumb and could probably learn potions and spells quickly. So she starts teaching her and they grow closer as the girl becomes stronger and older. Then one day the girl's parents are worried she's getting into trouble so they go to check out where she is going and sees Absinthe. They're afraid and assume she's a monster so they destroyed her camp, scaring Absinthe away. The girl visits the camp to see it's gone, and she hears that her parents sent out a hunt for Absinthe to kill her. So the girl has to go find Absinthe and save her but also save her parents from Absinthe because she doesn't know they're her parents. But once the girl finds her it's too late.
Could probably title it Weeping Willow, and the main setting is at the base of a willow tree in the forest. Idk
