Greetings my fellow writers!

I have been working on a story where a very vindictive person has hired/made a deal with someone to hunt down and kill some people. Take a look at this character , and use what you learn about him to help me come up with reasons why he'd want these people dead. The reasons can even be very simplistic! Below is a list of those he wants dead. One of them is a double threat, so there's actually 101 people on the list! Lol

EDIT People aren't understanding what I'm asking for. what I'm asking for is a reason why George could possibly want each person dead. I'm gonna use #1 and #4 as an example for what I'm looking for.

1. Twanda Rodes: Stole from George.
2. Lashell Brody:
3. Elfriede Night and Shawna Night (Mother and son):
4. Burma Waller: Slept with and killed George's dad just to get money.

Wow, this seems like a very interesting story. I'd love to see some writing examples from it. The first thing I see is that this George Wintergrean is Christian, so I find it funny that this would be the case considering he has summoned a demon, among other questionable actions. I'd like to hear more elaboration on his faith. As for the reason he wants all of these people killed–I doubt many people would have very personal reasons for wanting this many people dead, so it can be expected that quite a number of them are on that kill list for frivolous reasons. Your typical psychopath usually gets a kick out of killing people themselves, so it is curious that he is ordering someone else to do it for him. This is probably leading up to a greater goal which he plans on achieving himself. Maybe they all work for a corporation owned by one person he wants to target, though I'll admit that's not as exciting. Perhaps he's bored? That's a surprisingly common motive for murder. He took some names he had gathered and wanted to play around with the demon at his disposal. There are plenty of possibilities, it's certainly a fun concept to play around with.

Well, there's the original version, which I was writing with one of my friends, and then there's the rewritten version (which I'm writing with a different friend). I'm glad that you like the concept of the story though!

Maybe it's for his own gain, like what does he get from killing 100 people. I'm also writing a serial killer character, not only does he get a kick from killing people but he wants the people who turned him into the monster he is. So my reason is Revenge/ For Kicks.

So there is no friggin way you have beef with 100 people. Unless they are the people who made sure he ended up behind bars. Well because the list is so vastly different people could represent different reasons. Some could be business associates from the old days. Some because he wants to see the epitome of human suffering. Like he forces his demon to every now and then, kill someone slowly.

Also, you got to change the one person named Bogan Stone. That's like us Aussies naming an American character, Eagle Stripes. lol.

So his name is offensive? Uh, ok. I clearly wasn't aware of that…. Actually, I kinda think that it would be neat to have a charater named Eagle Stripes, and I am an American! Just depends on how the character is described and depicted I guess.

Edit I decided to look up the meaning of his name, and can see how it can be offensive. I'll start brainstorming a name to replace it. Thanks for pointing that out!

I am interested in whether or not this character interprets themselves as vengeful. Does he assume that murdering these people will make the world a better place or is it only for self-serving reasons? For example, murdering his own wife for not giving him children could have happened because of some idea of how a family is "supposed" to be, morals and religion, etc. or it could have been that she wasn't obedient to him, again following a twisted, vengeful, self-righteous thing. If he thought of her "not obeying" as sinful, then he might have killed her to make the world a "better place." However, if he were to kill a neighbor's wife, what would the reason be? Does he have some sort of permanent vendetta against all women now? Does he see that the neighbor's wife is cheating on said neighbor? Just for example.
Perhaps while he was in prison, he collected names of guilty people who went free? This also makes me wonder to what extent he has a god-complex. Perhaps some of the people on the list had previously employed the demon who is working for him? Maybe they even found some way to harm (physically or psychologically) said demon? Maybe they formed emotional bonds with the demon and your guy wants complete loyalty?
This isn't exactly my area of expertise when it comes to writing, but I do hope that maybe it was somewhat helpful.
