(Hah)
Resh: He raises his eyebrows as he watches Tseth cut open the deer, and he looks way more interested than he probably should be.
Parvus: He squawks and bats at Alex some more, flopping over and rolling onto his back.
(It is very interesting-)
(Pft)
Salmook: he covers his eyes and takes a few steps away. he's still in view of everyone else, but any amount of distance is putting him a bit more at ease. "Yucky, yucky, gross, ew!"
Tseth: He stops for a second, silently laughing at Salmook. He takes a deep breath and continues. He reaches into the deer, cutting along the diaphragm and ribs to separate the organs. He then moves up to the base of the neck inside the deer, cutting the windpipe.
Alex: He hovers his hand over Parvus, wiggling his fingers. It’s like playing with a cat, but smaller. A kitten?
(Tseth and Alex in completely different worlds rn)
Parvus: He stares at Alex’s hand for a moment, his pupils dilated. He grabs Alex’s hand and bites it, but not hard enough to hurt him.
(Meep Meep)
(skip me, again just imagine Salmook in distress)
Alex: He shakes his hand out of Parvus’s mouth. He makes a small comment in his language. “Little killer.” He glances over at Salmook, a little concerned.
Tseth: He throws the knife to the side, and grabs the array of organs inside the deer. He pulls them out with a bit of struggle, and then he throws them to the side in a mess of blood and whatever else was in the deer. He looks at his now-bloodied hands. “Don’t suppose anyone has water to wash this off with.”
Parvus: He stares at Alex with wide eyes, then squawks and starts swiping at his hand again.
Resh: He tilts his head. “No, but there’s a river close by.”
(Tseth: internal screaming)
(Bestie I’m sorry but water exists in large amounts and nobody’s carrying any around)
(wheeze)
Salmook: he looks up a little - not at Tseth, but at the very least he doesn't look like he's about to have a breakdown anymore. "We… we could go there! And get a drink - a long drink." hopefully long enough for the carcass to be gone by the time he's back.
Tseth: He stares at Resh for a while before standing up. “Right. Yeah. The river. Salmook and I can go the river… whoever else wants to come also. Someone should stay and get a fire going for the meat though.”
Alex: He looks up at everyone. “I could stay- uh, if everyone wants.”
Resh: He tilts his head and furrows his brows, then shrugs. “I’ll stay and help Alex with the fire. Juni can go with you guys to the river.” He looks down at Juni, waiting for her input.
Juni: She nods. “Yeah, I’ll join.”
Salmook: he nods. great. the sooner he can get out of here, the better. "It was… that way, right?" he points in the general direction of the path.
Tseth: He nods. “Alright then.”
Alex: He looks over where Salmook is pointing and stands up. “That’s where the path is. I think Resh knows where the river is though.” He glances at Resh for a moment.
Resh: He looks over at Salmook and stands up, pointing in the direction of the path. “Mhmm… yeah, about there. Just go a little farther that way.”
Salmook: and that's all he needs to hear. he's walking away towards the river without checking if anyonle else is following him.
Tseth: He looks at Juni and then starts going in the same direction as Salmook. The blood on his hands had already started to dry. It was sticky and annoying. He considered wiping it off on the cloth he used to clean his swords, but that wouldn’t get it all—especially not now. Just clean it off at the river. Maybe there would be a shallow area.
Juni: She takes a deep breath and follows Tseth and Salmook.
Resh: He looks at Alex and shrugs. “Well, we should probably try to get that fire going now.”
Rhiv: he holds in a yawn. not again. he rubs at his eyes. STAY AWAKE. he's just been meandering along the riverbank, not moving much in any direction. his head is empty, but at least his flasks are full. he sits down again in mild distress. that's how most of his walks ended, really. maybe it's worth turning around and finding everyone else? no, it's not.
