Melody let out a breath as the stranger put his gun away. "Yeah. The name is kinda odd." She glanced behind her at Callie. "I'm Melody and this is Callie. He's deaf so you'll have to write out what you want to say to him. Unless you know sign language, which I don't. Who are you?"
Callie stepped forward a small bit, still looking rather cute as always despite his mechanical arms and halo.
After a couple of minutes, Irene sees 3 people, she goes over to them. "Hello everyone, I was wondering, what is this place?"
Zains eyes lit up, his hand moved off his gun and began to sign excitedly. "I'm Zain, I haven't been able to sign in so long!"
Melody whips around, startled at the arrival of another stranger. "Um… This is Maespire forest. What are you doing here? How did you get here if you don't know where you are?"
Callie's eyes widened as the other male began to sign, smiling a little. It took him a couple seconds, but he eventually moved his hands to sign back. I'm Callie…it's so nice to meet someone who knows how!
Melody's head turns quickly to look at Zain, Callie, and the newest stranger. Her eyes seem impossibly wide. "You can sign." Melody points at Zain. She doesn't ask since the proof is right in front of her. "That's great, I was running out of paper." She turns to the stranger. "you have no idea where you are." She turns to Callie but says nothing. "You kinda already know what's going on." Melody sighs. "I suppose it's time to explain what's happening."
Irene looks at the startled female. "I was in that cafe, but there was an open door. I decided to go in, thinking it was another room in the cafe. I got a bit lost in there, then I find myself here, in Maespire forest."
Melody nods, trying to act as if she understands. "Right. Right. And you," She points at Zain. "Also got into this forest somehow, right?"
"I walked in, you guys are just oblivious to you being followed." Zain said and signed along. "I also used magic, but barely."
Magic? Callie signed back in almost wonder. What kind?
Melody sighed again. "Alright. I have a favour to ask. Can you sign everything I say to Callie? I'm about to explain what's going on and I don't think I can write it all out."
Melody did not understand the conversation going on between Callie and Zain since she could not read sign language, thus she stood there and waited.
"Wait, magic? Actually, I shouldn't be surprised, I want to work for an organization that deals with otherworldly things, so magic shouldn't be very strange to me." Irene goes closer to the group, she had been a bit further away from them than she should.
"Numbing." Zain signed to Calle before turning to the others. "Sure. You really shouldn't trust someone you just met thougg."
"Wait!" Melody almost yelled, very very confused. "You can't use magic?" She asked the stranger who had yet to give her name. "I thought everyone could use magic."
Numbing. That…that could be interesting, Callie thought to himself, nodding again and turning to the others.
"Magic is fun, very easy to torture enemies." Zain nodded, his sleeve moved up a bit to show a feared gangs logo, the Nightshade Bunch.
Melody rolled her sleeves down to cover the tattoo on her wrist. She didn't want them associating her with them. "Yeah, magic can be fun. Can you ask Callie if he has any magic?"
Irene looks around very confused. "No? I thought no one could use magic?… We are on Earth, not a fantasy story."
"You have magic, pretty boy?" Zain signed flirtatiously, making no move to covet his tattoo.
"Well yeah, but I grew up with people who had magic. Everyone in my city used magic."
Callie looked a little surprised by Zain's question, blushing a little bit as he signed back. No. But I'm cyborg.
"Strange… but understandable…"
