He nipped playfully at her hair. "Don't want to anger Hera, now do we?"
Levi and Leon were aware of how close Tempest and Lance have gotten–physically and emotionally–but were at least smart enough to not comment on it or even acknowledge it.
Tempest grumbled. "Fiiiiine." She slowly got up and shook herself, her hair flying.
Leon blinked sleepily at Tempest as she got up, probably looking like the laziest giant lion ever. Levi was already up and shaking the drowsiness off. He turned his head to look at Tempest. "Looks like miss sleepy head is up." his reptilian lips moved unnaturally human-like to form the words as he spoke.
Lance pushed himself to his feet, shaking off his coat as well.
Tempest rolled her eyes. "I think that's Leon; he's a girl, isn't he?"
Leon the Lion shot an incredulous look at Tempest while Levi let out a dragon-like roar of laughter. "If I didn't like you already, that would've done it for sure!"
Even Lance's dark eyes were bright with humor.
Tempest laughed. "I'd like to see you try!" The clear sound attracted the attention of many birds, who came to see what was going on.
Leon lept playfully at Tempest, snapping his jaws a hairsbreadth from her.
Tempest wiped slobber from her face. "Ew." She snapped her fingers and a wave of water came through the trees and sloshed over him.
He yowled loudly and took off, desperately trying to shake, roll, and lick all of the water off of his coat.
Tempest snorted. "Stupid kitty, getting slobber all over my face." She turned to grin at the others.
Lance snorted in amusement while Levi beamed right back at Tempest, flapping his wings to stretch them out.
Tempest shrugged. "Well, I'd better go see what trouble my brothers got themselves into. I'll see you later." With that, she walked away.
"Let me know if Aurae has come back," Lance's voice appeared in her mind. "I want to be there to see her challenge Hera again."
Aurae was, in fact, back and currently in an argument with Hera. Her two snake like familiars were visible, each wrapped around both of her arms. One was ebony black with marble white eyes while the other was pearl white with a midnight black stripe going down its back.
"What do you mean, you want to side with the gods?" Hera yelled angrily. "I am a god!"
"Youre being a bitch! Always have been! Remember when you banished me to Athens?! Because I said I don't bow to your every fucking will!? And I'm not even from Earth! It can burn to ashes for all I care!" Her familiars hissed in agreement.
'THEN LEAVE!" Hera yelled, red lightning sparking around her. "No one wants you here anyway! You're rude, ugly, and no one likes you, you're own father included! You only get in the way! So leave and make us all happy!" She roared.
Aurae growled and got in Hera's face, which was easy considering she was tall at 5 foot 9. "Say that again, but with the reminder that I saved the entire Underworld from Echidna and Typhon. With the reminder that I freed Hades from his own fucking prison." She said in a deathly calm voice.
Hera laughed coldly. "So you saved the world a few times. News flash, sweetheart: no one cares. So did so many other people. So no one fucking cares. Saving people doesn't make them love you. No one would like a pathetic monster like you!" She snarled.
Her violet eyes narrowed hatefully. "This is exactly why I prefer the Underworld as opposed to you high and mighty Olympians, thinking you can do whatever the hell you want just because you sit on a few ugly and impractical thrones. How about you get your head out of your ass and take what help your given, or I'll take the support you have from Apate, Dolos, Nemesis, Thanatos, and Nyx, and see just how likely the Keres are to join your side."
Hera sneered at her. "They'd really help Zeus, after all that he's done to them?"
She laughed sharply. "How do you think you got their alliance in the first place? They're on my side, and I'm sure you wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of Nyx's fury."
Hera looked like she was about to blow the place down. Tempest stepped in between them. "Enough!" She yelled, so loudly that they both winced. She glared at Hera. "Your Majesty, with all due respect, please stop yelling at everyone who doesn't obey you. We need their help, whether you like it or not." She turned to Aurae. "And please stop goading her on," she said. "We still need this house, and the queen, like it or not, so please try not to kill each other, cancel alliances or blow up the house."
Aurae stormed out, but not before she spat at Hera's feet.
