(Don't worry she's almost out)
A deafening crack resounds through the room. The horrific sound of creaking bones and squealing joints punctures the silence as Hex finally snaps out of her trance. She straightens her spine with difficulty as it resisted her movements and her arms let go of her head. With every motion she makes, an orchestra of popping bone emanates from her crooked body and she lets out a shriek that might have been a yawn but its hard to tell under all the sounds. Finally, she concludes her awakening by grabbing her forehead with her right claw and bending it back far enough to connect with her spine. She realigns herself accordingly and looks at Vozreal like she just woke up from a nap, eyes drooping and mouth scowling. What the hell did I miss?
" apparently you died."
I did not. She says bluntly as she takes her left claw onto her chin and her right claw on top of her head and turns it clockwise until another crack is heard. But you might die because next time, you might want to think about bestowing human knowledge on a nonhuman creature and expecting me to take that knowledge in stride! She looks at Vozreal with complete and utter contempt and annoyance as she tilts her head to the other side, this time summoning a piercing screech instead of a crack. Two hours. I spent TWO HOURS. Looking at THE BIBLE. THAT SHIT TOOK FOR- FUCKING-EVER. I saw a human build a boat. I saw one overthrow a king. I saw a couple fuck around in a desert for a long ass time. I saw those one of those angel things and that bitch from before WISHES she would look like them. I saw a human getting eaten by a big ass fish. I saw SO MUCH. She takes a claw to her forehead and grunts indignantly. Next time, consider what amount of "understanding" needs to be processed, and then make me see shit I am not prepared to see.
"someone overthrew a king?"
sorry for the late reply– i was busy– ))
Hex rolls her shoulders high until yet another sickening sound that could be a crack or a scream is heard. I have no clear recollection of the events. All I know is he would not do The Shit and got fucked over for it. She scratches the top of her head with the tips of her claws. From what I understand, humans are revolting, disgusting, abhorrent, vile, and positively abominable; however, they are endlessly fascinating. She lets hers arms go loose and shakes her wrists a little. They have such drive, an endless ambition that they seek to chase no matter how far it is… It is pathetic just as it is admirable. She bends her neck forward until her forehead touches her chest. She straightens herself and looks at her two compatriots with her shit eating grin. I suggest you both handle your adversaries accordingly. These "humans" will seek to conquer whatever their obstacle is, and if you two are their obstacle, you are also their prey.
You know those angels weren't in there human form, right?"
Also you know there's 2 sections of the bible right? and everything you described happens in the first section only."
Hex looks at Vozreal with the most "Do You Think I Am A Dumbass" face she can conceivable produce. I am completely aware of the Old and New Testament variations, but because of certain things that pertain to concepts outside of my peripheral, I cannot discuss them. She looks down with a claw on her chin. I, as an inhuman concept, cannot completely comprehend the human experience nor can I understand most of the stories that are touted in that book. It is akin to likening the experience of a hound to that of an insect. They are two discernable creatures that simply cannot fathom their circumstances, no matter how intelligent they may be. She sighs softly at her statement. I would be lying if I said I was not curious about such a reality. The better one grasps their understanding, the more accessible their destruction. A gleam of malicious intent flashes behind her pale eyes. She swallows it down nonetheless.
It's not like anybody cares anymore about a 2000 year-old book!"
Hex scoffs at his statement. Even I am older than that stack of nonsense. She checks her hand briefly to see if it had mutated, lifting it up to her face for inspection. No, it's fine. The absence of gore and red is off putting but not unnatural. She clenches and flexes it experimentally, hoping to know if all the bones grew properly. Have you ever been killed, demon? She asks while bending her digits backwards. Do you know the sensation of death?
That's like asking a baby if they have ever cried!"
Ah. Do not speak of children at me. I could really use one right now. Hex puts a claw to her stomach and sighs. She hasn't eaten anything since she's arrived here unlike the Tantrum King. Nonetheless, I wanted to ask. What do you see when you die? And do you hate or enjoy the sensation?
King crossed his arms as he listened. the question reminded him when he had only "died." what he felt was a numb feeling. Something he was sure he'd never feel again. He could hear everyone around him gasping and screaming. He "died" when he was still a young lad, only a toddler. He was shot in the chest but a shotgun. He didn't really feel or see anything, he just saw the sky, blue as always and felt numb, everything seemed to be played in slow-motion. He remembered that he didn't even cry, not a single tear. He just fell back and onto the cobblestone street, bleeding out as his parents rushed him to the hospital. "…why was it such a weird feeling……?" he murmured quietly to himself.
Hex turns to the King and raises her claw up with her palm upward. Raise your voice, Shadow King. If you let yourself fear death, it will follow you on your heels till the day it claims you. But if you show no shivering spine or weeping eyes at its presence, it will let you live as long as you desire. She says all this very bluntly and harshly, as if she were expecting more from a so called tyrant. Death comes for us all once, but rarely twice. So do not succumb to that primal rejection.
Oh yeah I actually know Death."
Hex rolls her eyes and grunts. Yes, I remember. What a bore That One was. Does she have the ability to take your soul? Or when you die, do you see her? Or rather, you simply do not lose consciousness no matter how destroyed your body and mind may be? She looks at Vozreal inquisitively.
King looked up, "Death? I know her as well."
Hex snaps her head up and stares at King in shock. Then she whips her head to look at Vozreal. What!? You both know an incarnation of death!? She looks back and forth between the tyrant and the demon. What is with you beings and your invested experience in your own mortality!? She puts her claws to her forehead and mutters low but clear. I have never met a being affiliated with death in my realm. We do not have one, I believe. She puts her claw to her chin and ponders if she ever did but never noticed.
"Azrael can not take MY soul. She cursed me with immortality long ago. So the last one, I think. I can't die, not unless I break the curse with either true love's kiss (which is complete bullshit), or an true friendship, which I think is an good aromantic alternative to true love's kiss." He said, answering Hex's question.
"Death is a close family friend of mine. She kinda raised me with my aunt." he kept his arms crossed as he spoke. "She hasn't told me if she has a real name or not but I call her Aunt Death."
"My Death is called Azrael, and we're TECHNICALLY related. We're like 1st cousins or something." He said to King. He liked King more than Hex, but he would never say that to her face.
(OOC: LMAOOOO GET REKT HEX)
Hex listens to their discussion silently, intrigued by their experiences with Death as a being. I see. So in King's case, when he "dies" he can avoid death by the sheer fact that he is companions with her. And for the demon, his immortality is a curse directly bestowed by death, so he cannot die through conventional means. She appears to trying to explain this to herself. She scratches lightly at the fur beneath her mouth as she ponders this information. In other words you both are truly immune to death until proven otherwise.
