"Not if I do this." She skewered it neatly with one of her wrist spurs; it let out a high-pitched whine. Nyx slid the eyeball off of her spur and flicked it into the yard, then rinsed her spur off in the water.

That high pitched whine was more like a scream that would rival jacksepticeye's scream
Nyx winced at it. "All right, fine, they scream. Remind me to not kill another one of those… things."
"I told you."
She scowled at him, but her teal eyes glimmered with amusement.
"What? I'm just being honest!"
She grinned and rolled her eyes. "Fine, you win."
"Yare Yare Daze…" He sighed.
Nyx ran her fingers through her hair again and sighed.
An awkward silence
She tilted her head and brushed her gaze over his face, waiting for him to say something.
He waited for her to say something.
He began humming beautifully
"You have a nice voice," she commented.
"thanks, you too." He said
The tip of her nose went pink. "Thanks."
He continued humming
"Look at the moon," Nyx said, glancing up. The moon was hanging in the sky like a great Christmas tree ornament, yellow and full.
"Yes, it's very nice." He said, looking at it
She ran her fingers through her hair again. "You know, I've never been able to see the so-called 'Man in the Moon'."
"He's there. You'll Just have to look hard enough."
"I've looked all my life. I've never been able to. I think Seven could, though. Anne taught us all these things about how other cultures see other things in the moon, and I think I saw two or three of them, but I can't remember them now."
"Ah, yes!" He pointed the man in the moon out for Nyx.
"Look!"
She laughed. "I still can't see it. I can name a few constellations, though." She pointed. "See, Big Dipper, Little Dipper, Orion."
"Ophiuchus…"
"Bless you."
