"It's all right." She remembered meeting Anne; to Seven, her, and Phoenix, Anne had seemed like a dinosaur - 47 to the kids' 6.

"Okay then…" He looked at her teal eyes with his royally crimson ones

She stared into his, blinked, flushed pink, bit her lip, and looked away.

"What's wrong?" He asked

"Oh? Nothing."

He knew something was up.
"You can tell me…"

"It's nothing. I'm just hungry, is all."

"Ah, okay then!"

They spent a few more minutes in uncomfortable silence, and then the waitress brought over their food.

"Looks yummy!"

Nyx picked up an onion ring and tried it. "Oh, that's good."

"I know, right?" He said, eating his fries first

Nyx made quick work of the onion rings. It was while she was eating them, looking around the diner, that she noticed the neon-tube-ridged, brown, flashy box in the corner that was playing music.
"What's that?" she asked, pointing.

"That's a jukebox."

"What's a jukebox?"

"A jukebox is a partially automated music-playing device, usually a coin-operated machine, that will play a patron's selection from self-contained media. The classic jukebox has buttons, with letters and numbers on them, which, when one of each group entered after each other, are used to select a specific record"

"What?"

He repeated himself.
"Look for yourself!"

She looked, and over the chatter of the people at the next table over, she could hear the music.
"Oh, so it's sort of like a radio, then."

"A type of radio, yes."

"All right." Nyx picked up her burger and began to eat.

He ate his burger nicely

"Is there anything else we could do around here?"

"There's a tourist trap around here…"

"Traps? What kinda traps?" Peppermint glanced over at Vozreal, her mouth full of a combination of pancake and milkshake. "I wanna go see it, can we go see?" The girl looked up at Beckett with pleading eyes. "When we're done eating? Are there any islands around here? I didn't see any ocean around here, this must be a big island, not like Cacao Land!"
