There was a moment or two of silence, and then Nyx asked the question that had been bugging her for a while.
"If you're as old as time itself, how did you come to exist?"

"I… I actually don't know. The best way I can explain is this: God has always existed right? That's similar to me. I have always existed."

Nyx looked up at the stars, for once at a loss for words. There was silence.

"Stars sure are beautiful…"

"Yeah…" She stuffed her hands in her pockets.

"I told God to make Polaris, did you know that?" He stated

"Really?" She wasn't particularly interested; stars made her think of Phoenix and Seven, and she was wrapped in memories.

"Yeah, I told him 'Hey, if you wanna make humans, they gotta be able to navigate in the dark." So he made Polaris." He clarified

"Mm."

"You don't care, do you?"

"Mm?" Nyx flicked her eyes from the stars back to Vozreal's face, two feet above her own. "Oh. I was just thinking."

"I said that you didn't care about what I said, did you?"

"Oh… um, to be honest, I wasn't listening that much… I'm sorry, I just… stars bring up memories…" She bowed her head slightly, pale cheeks flushing pink.

"It's fine! I was just ranting, was all!"

"Good." She sighed gently and glanced at the house. "Is Spector ever going to come?"

Valorie peeked over at the Vozreal and Nyx with a hint of curiosity showing in her eyes.She listened in on the two, not knowing what else she was supposed to do. Eventually, she stopped listening and sat down on the sidewalk with her legs crossed, distancing herself from the two as much as possible.
