“I haven’t quite seen powers like that before. Similar though… you ought to be careful.”
He remembered one of his own friends who controlled fire. It seemed different this time though.
“Who are you? I’m Xander.”
“I haven’t quite seen powers like that before. Similar though… you ought to be careful.”
He remembered one of his own friends who controlled fire. It seemed different this time though.
“Who are you? I’m Xander.”
"I'm…Arien."
Xander looked back over his shoulder to the others.
“Nice to meet you. Interesting powers you’ve got there, but you don’t even know what they are exactly?”
"No, I don't. I barely know my name." Arien looked around.
"I just… woke up here."
“Riiiight…”
Xander crossed his arms, trying to think of what could’ve caused this.
“I’ll be here to help you, even though I have no clue what could be going on.”
"You're not the only one."
“Yeah, I see,” Xander replied, “It wouldn’t be a problem if I was.”
He couldn’t offer to train like he did with Ellie. This had much higher potential for danger.
Arien looked around.
"Where are we, anyway?"
“A forest, just outside of this little town over here,” Xander answered, “Where are you from?”
(Idk where they are besides just the forest, please bear with me)
Arien slowly shook his head.
"I don't know where I'm from." Arien looked around.
"Perhaps I simply am."
Khian had watched, too shocked by the events going on to react properly. He stumbled after Ellie as she ran through the flames, grumbling internally about how hard it was keeping her alive when they'd only officially met earlier that day. He reached for her wrist and kept a firm hold of it as he healed her burns, looking at her with a cross expression. It was only after he was done that he registered the new person, the reason for Ellie running so suddenly into the fire. "Anyone else need healing, or something?"
Xander looked back to Khian. He almost said something about his own burn, but it was minor.
“I’m alright,” he called back.
He stared at Arien.
“Something can’t come from nothing, though you couldn’t have put it in a more poetic way.”
"I simply want to understand how I was able to arrive here without any of you seeing how. And thank you. I think I was a writer…" Arien trailed off.
“Well… we were over there. We could’ve easily missed you,” Xander replied.
He smiled a bit at the word “writer.”
Khian didn't miss Xander's look, and rolled his eyes somewhat. "Lying makes you go to hell," he mumbled under his breath, quiet enough so that the other boy wouldn't hear. He flicked him on the forehead with his index finger, keeping the contact until he was sure the burn he'd kept concealed was healed. Then he turned to Arien, raising an eyebrow. "I like words," he stated simply, referring to what they'd said about possibly being a writer.
"It's just… vague. Like a dark shadow is over it." Arien shook his head.
Xander stumbled back, biting his lip. He snarled a little at Khian, but when he looked down, he realized his arm was healed. His eyes follwed Khian curiously.
"What… your past?" Xander asked.
He had an idea, but since Ellie had just pushed herself so hard, he wasn't going to voice it- at least, not yet.
Evie watched them and tried to not cause another scene.
"Yeah. It's just, It feels like someone is trying to destroy my memories…" Arien rubbed his arm. A flame flicked up from his fingers.
Destory my memories. Evie blinked.
Ellie got away from Khian "I'm sorry," She whispered to Khian. She ran to find Xander and Arien.
(can i join)
(yes make a character)
Evie slowly walked towards the two boys.
Arien held the flame in his palm. This time, there was no face.
