Let's like… just talk. NO theme, NO storyline, just talking.
I'll be using my female dragon, Saff, as I'm not entirely sure what other characters I'll be using for my newest story.
(Shameless plug… help me here! https://www.notebook.ai/forum/characters-board/help-please-vote-on-your-fav-3-for-my-book-i-can-t-decide-lol-criticism-is-also-welcome )
Saffron walked into the large clearing and got immediately distracted by a butterfly. Her white scales shine even brighter in the sunlight as she jumps on the strange bug.
"I wonder what the human word for this is," she says to herself.
She unfolds her clawed paws to reveal a Monarch Butterfly. As it goes to flutter away Saffron puffs a little hot air under it to give it more lift as it wonders the sky.
Kopke jumped down from a low branch on tree next to the clearing, "A butterfly if you must know, Dragon." He said answering the large dragon's question while looking up at it. He squinted his pale brown eyes as the sunlight glared down on its scales and in his eyes.
Saffron was just about to give another puff of hot air to lift the butterfly even closer to the sun but the stranger's sudden and interesting entrance made her puff more fire than air, and the butterfly crumbled into nothingness.
"Oh my Grim!" she exclaims.
She pokes the little pile of dust that she thinks is the remains of the butterfly with her claw and raised her head to stare daggers at the newcomer.
"Look what you made me do! I was gonna name it Jamie and teach it to fly better." She rises to her full height and uses two claws to scoop some dirt over Jamie the butterfly. She's about as long as a smushed schoolbus and about as tall as one too.
“Ah, well sorry about that,” Kopke replied, pushing a piece of his pink hair back. “I didn’t know a dragon lived in these woods…” he said.
"I don't!" she answers merrily. "I'm just visiting, but maybe one day w- I can live here."
Another Monarch butterfly flutters overhead and she rears up to catch it.
"Jamie! It's you!" she yells. She lets it go unscathed and starts puffing small amounts of warm air under it again. This time she makes sure not to accidentally heat up the air too much.
Kopke sighed, “I hate to break it to you, dragon but that’s a different butterfly you know.”
"Well then," she says. "Jamie the Second it is then!"
The butterfly was getting quite high, so high that to give it another lift she had to stand up on her back legs. Jamie the Second got a few more feet and Saffron stopped, satisfied that it could reach the treetops on its own.
"What's your name? My name is Saffron," Saffron says suddenly. She scolds herself inwardly for forgetting such simple manners. The pine trees around her lose some needles as she drops to the ground and stretches.
“My name is Kopke. It is nice to meet you Saffron,” Kopke replies a small smile on his face, “So why are you in this forest anyway, if you don’t live here?”
"Adventure!" She says it like it's the most obvious answer in the world.
"I came from Mycosis. Kira said it's in the "Bermuda Triangle."
“Ah, interesting…” Kopke responded, “Whose Kira? Your friend I’m guessing?”
"Yup! She's very nice and smart like me! Except she's smart about human stuff two. I don't know too much about that," Saff says sadly. If only she could always know everything.
"Hello?" A large brown dog said as they wandered over. They wore a blue beanie a blue bandana and had a few large earrings in each ear. Apart from that, and the fact it was the size of a pony, it looked like a normal dog.
Saffron gasps in excitement.
“Dog!” she exclaims, using the word like it was new and exciting, which it kind of was.
“Hmmm… You’re not like the dog the humans talked about! Danny showed me the dog, Keiran, but he was smaller.”
A very confused look passed her face and lingers there as she gets more and more confused by the creature.
“Keiran also didn’t talk,” she says.
"I'm different." The dog said. He looked embarrassed and not at all scared of the dragon.
