"It's just in Nevada." The expression in her eyes softened slightly. "I'd just like to visit it before we go exploring the world."
"It's just in Nevada." The expression in her eyes softened slightly. "I'd just like to visit it before we go exploring the world."
"Fine…" He said, going to get something to eat.
Nyx followed him, still clutching his pajamas to her chest. "We can take a plane, if you want, it's just…"
She lowered her head. "It's Seven's grave."
"Oh… how inconsiderate of me." He said, grabbing an apple. He got dressed, then ate the apple.
"It's all right if you don't want to go." She hugged his pajamas to her chest. "Where are your suitcases?"
"Over there." He pointed towards the closet.
"And after I finished this apple, we can teleport to Nevada and back."
Her head shot up. "You mean it?"
"Yes, dear."
"Thank you." In a burst of inspiration, she kissed his chest - the only part of him she could easily reach with her lips. "I'll go get ready."
"Okay then. There's a dress on the bed."
"Thanks." Grabbing the dress, she hurried to her room to change, coming back a few minutes later, makeup and hair done. She looked stunning.
"You look beautiful, darling~"
"Thanks." She smiled. "Let's grab breakfast, and then we can go."
"Here! Have a banana!" He tossed her one.
She caught it and peeled it. "Thanks."
He grabbed her and teleported her to Seven's grave.
Nevada was hot and dry, wind gusting around and up Nyx's dress. The graveyard was a tiny little thing, full of scrubby bushes and dry grass that was doing its best to survive the scorching sun.
Nyx let herself in through the gate and headed for the grave that was burned into her memory. It was simple - nothing too elaborate: a simple, stereotypical grey headstone. All it bore was the name Seven Beaufort and a date.
Nyx ran her fingers gently along the top of it and sat down in front of it, wincing as the sharp grass dug into her skin, but didn't care.
"Hi, Seven," she whispered, rubbing the headstone. "It's me. Nyx. I just came to say hi."
She rested her forehead against the cool marble.
"I'm traveling the world, Seven. I just wanted to come see you before I left."
Turning, she motioned to Vozreal. "C'm'ere, I want you to meet him." She didn't care if she sounded odd.
"Sure!" He walked forward to the gravestone.
"Hey, Seven. I've been taking care of Nyx, just like you asked me to. I hope you are better in Heaven."
Nyx smiled and kissed the headstone, leaving a faint imprint of her black lipstick on the marble. "I love you, Seven."
There was a few minutes of silence, of Nyx just sitting in front of the headstone, quiet except for the breeze, before she stood up and took Vozreal's hand, a smile flitting across her face. "Let's go."
"Okay." He teleported back.
"I haven't booked the tickets yet."
"You can do that, and I'll start packing. Where do you want to go first?"
"… India?" He mentioned
"India," she murmured, smiling and nodding. "India sounds good."
"Good. What are you packing for me?"
"The usuals. Jeans, shirts, underwear, toiletries…"
