She nodded. Her eyes were sad.

"Listen. You don't have to worry about that anymore…"

"I guess so…"

He kissed her.
"I'm here. Just remember I will protect you."

She smiled softly and hooked her arms around his shoulders.
"Promise?"

"Does putting a man through an infinite death cycle count as a promise? Because I promise."

"I think it counts." She kissed him softly.

He kissed back, leaving a hickey on her neck

She giggled.

"I love you. Oh, and this… This will make you immortal."

"What will make me immortal?"

"The wedding kiss." He told her.
"It's a law made by the Celestial Council."

"Really?" Her fingers curled in his hair.

" On love between Immortal and Mortal, Subsection 13, Clause 4, : An Immortal is not to have romantic or sexual relations, engage in marital or nuptial relations, and/or bear offspring with Mortal peoples. Exceptions to Section 5, Sub 13 Clause 4, is if the Immortal follows martial proceedures and is requited by the Mortal. Her eyes went wide. "Really?"

"Cool," she whispered.

"Usually, it's based off your name… So I think you would have power revolving around the dark and night…"

She smiled.

"So yeah." He said, smiling back.
