It took Kaz three days. Three horrible, miserable, pissed off days to find the fucker named "Bulldozer." It was so hard because the fucker never said still. He ran around like he was the most popular guy in town; supermarkets, parks, strip clubs, everywhere. But Kaz finally caught him.
He was on the clock, as obvious by the construction worker outfit he wore. He looked like he'd never seen the inside of a gym before, with a bald head that glistened with sweat, a belly that bulged against the buttons of the shirt he wore under the reflective vest, and a neck so thick it was as wide as his head. Kaz was practically grinning under his mask as he drew his shortsword from his back, jumping from the roof of the left hand building into the alley.
"Bulldozer?" he asked, his voice muffled by his mask.
The fat man turned around, chewing on a gyro. "Hm?"
Kaz pointed the sword at him. "You're fucked."
"A brutal murder happened last night in the alley next to the Starbucks Cafe on South Street," a news anchor read from a piece of paper, glancing up at the camera randomly between words. "The victim was popular superhero Bulldozer, and the killer is believed to be Rip, a villain last seen near the Westside apartment complex. It is advised that the heroes in the area stay on high alert for this dangerous fugitive. The reward is $500,000."
Rip was sitting on the edge of the Westside apartment complex's building, his mask resting beside him. He was cleaning his sword with a dirty rag, whistling contently as he did so. He definitely didn't look like someone who just viciously gutted one of the city's most popular superhero, other than the blood-soaked sword. So I got the whole city after me now. Fun. Well, all press is good press, as they say
