Avar finally stopped crying, wiping her icy tears away and taking deep breaths. She bowed her head, and began whispering in an unintelligible language. She seemed to be praying.

Sawyer waved their hand. "I wouldn't try magic here. It will only hurt you. Anyways," Sawyer snapped their fingers and a tray of simple foods appeared in their hand. "Food." They placed the tray on the ground near the cage so the dragon could reach, then waited for them to eat.
(Eeep my character's been lost in the flood, imao)
Avar ignored Sawyer. She wasn’t practicing magic, she was praying to Goddess. It may seem futile to others, but comforted her, and was something familiar to help her.
The redhead glanced at the food, then back at Sawyer. "So you can use magic without repercussions? Good to know, I suppose." He hummed, then plucked a piece of cheese off the tray and into his mouth. "This is disgusting," he let the guard know nonchalantly. Azrael let the tray tip off his hand, clattering to the floor. "If you aren't going to tell me why I'm here, mind telling me why you're here?"
The little dragon had opened her mouth to speak, but was interrupted by the familiar appearance of Sawyer. As if on cue, she dropped from her perch, curling up tightly. Her ears laid back, the antennas upon her head also laying backwards. The pairs of wings were flat against her sides. Her head laid flat on the bottom of the cage, her entire body flat against the floor of the cage.
Her blue eyes darted back and forth, glancing all around. She knew Sawyer, as it was often him who fetched her personally. The small dragon felt the cage lifted off the hook, and set on the ground. A tray was set nearby for her, a few sweet fruit, a couple insects, and small pieces of meat. The creature slipped her small head through the bars, ears and antennas remaining laid flat back. She then started to slowly eat.
Avar studied Sawyer, still sitting on the ground miserably.
Sawyer watched the tray fall to the ground. "I'm here because I'm doing my job. That's all you need to know." Their eyes flickered to the dragon, a clear change in its stature. At least it wasn't being a chatty pest, like the other prisoners.
A loud piercing ringing sound echoed through the room. Suddenly, Krista collapsed onto the ground, her maroon wings splayed around her.
Sawyer raised their eyebrows when a winged woman appeared on the floor. I didn’t hear of a new prisoner being transferred to this cell today. I’ll have to ask about this.
Avar yelped slightly when Krista appears.
Avar helped slightly when Krista appears.
Krista jumped at the approaching figure. She stood to her full height. Her wings flared out, the sharp edges of the wings cutting through the air. Two black horns protruded from her temples.
"Where am I?" Krista spoke, her silver eyes blazing.
Sawyer tapped the newcomer's wing. "Whoa there, buddy. You might want to put the horns away before you hurt yourself."

Krista's wings flinched away from the touch.
"If I could, I would." She spat.
(Avar didn’t try to help, she just shrieked a little. Autocorrect changed it)
Avar sat in the corner, trying to remain unnoticed by the others. She could already feel herself growing weaker, her wings less manageable.
