Zaldi absently shook their head and snapped back to the room, "Uh, what was that?"

"I asked if you were okay, you seemed pretty out of it for a sec," Spade replied, still speaking gently. Ace groaned and snatched Spade's phone out of his jacket pockets. "I'm gonna borrow this," Ace said quickly, then immediately turned the phone on. "Ugh, a password, seriously?!" Ace let out another groan, and Spade took his phone back. "Yes, a password. Now hush up, Ace," Spade told Ace, then directed his attention back to Zaldi.
"Oh yeah, I'm good." Zaldi tried to sound convincing but doubted it actually came out correctly. They though about their past and when they had landed here and what he was missing out on.
Spade nodded warily as if he didn't believe their statement but was trying to seem like he did. Ace poked Spade on the cheek, and Spade slapped his hand away. "Ace, quit it," Spade scolded Ace. "You really are a mom," Ace replied, followed by a soft groan.
Zaldi let out a quiet sigh and sat down on the nearest couch. They hugged their knees to their chest and tried to take deep breaths. they were a bit sad looking over at Ace and Spade. They had lost the person/people they loved most. They looked at the ground and tried to think of how they could possibly get out of here. They needed to apologize.
Ace and Spade had begun bickering again. They were both completely distracted, paying no attention to their surroundings.
Finn crossed his legs. "do you think they are humans?" Finn asked. Whispering so hopefully Zaldi would be the only one that hears.
Zaldi looked at Finn, "I don't know. There's a high chance, but then again the weird eye thing." They whispered back. They coughed a little, and suddenly flushed, they were scared they might've brought attention to themselves and Finn and the conversation at hand. "I wouldn't worry about it, they seem harmless." they whispered again anyway.
