Lynn’s carefree smile drops. “Yeah… yeah that’s not normal.” She says softly, staring at the ragged scars all along his skin. “Is everything okay?”
Lynn’s carefree smile drops. “Yeah… yeah that’s not normal.” She says softly, staring at the ragged scars all along his skin. “Is everything okay?”
Aiden looks over, coming back down to earth. He smiles. "Yeah, it is now."
Lynn grins warmly, touching him gently on the arm. “Good.”
Aiden laughs. "Yes, it truly is good."
He turns to the amassed people, who immediately look down at their food or each other. He laughs harder.
Lynn laughs with him, leaning onto his shoulder. “God, I love this!” She says through chuckles, sighing
Aiden slowly stops laughing, the occasional chuckle still escaping him. "I do too…" he murmurs, leaning his head on Lynn's.
Lynn smiles up at him, sighing contently. “I’m so glad.”
Aiden looks down. "About what? Be specific, please. Else my wandering mind wanders with whatever ideas it can come up with."
Lynn laughs, tossing her hair back. “Well, I guess I’ll leave you in your unknowing, then.” She takes his hand, starting toward a lush forest. “Come on, let’s go fight some shit.”
Aiden sighs. "Of course you will. I do not know how I expected anything different." he says, intertwining his fingers with Lynn's. However, he balks when Lynn starts towards the forest. "There are things in there that even I do not dare fight. I will not venture into that place, for it is filled with curses and death far beyond the means of any god or deity. If you would like, we can got to the mountains or the depths of the ocean. But never the forest."
Lynn grins, pulling him toward the forest. “Great!! Sounds fun to me! Let’s kick some ass!!” Obviously not listening to the warnings

(Hello!)
Aiden sighs. Just my luck. I had to pick the one that doesn't listen.
But he follows them anyways. "Final warning: almost certain death waits."
(Hey!)
Lynn rolls their eyes, looking back with a devious smirk. "Really? you don't say. Now lets go, pretty boy."
Aiden sighs, then picks Lynn up. "Alright. It's your funeral, I suppose."
He runs into the forest, and soon deep, unnatural shadows fall across them. "Be weary."
(me: stalking this)
(me: severely confused ofr a second. i thought it was words of wisdom or smn, lmao)
(lmaoo!)
Lynn giggled, holding onto him tightly as they dashed further into the forest. "Oh, I'm weary."
"Take this seriously, please." Aiden groans.
A sound from their left stops Aiden in his tracks.
Lynn sighed, looking left and tapping her fingers against Aiden's shoulder. "Hmm?"
Aiden cuckles and gently sets Lynn down. "You'll see in a moment."
He then dashes into the brush, and soon and deep, pained growl can be heard. The sounds of ripping cloth and tearing flesh also fly from that area. Eventually, Aiden comes back, holding a basilisk in one hand, sporting a number of small cuts and scrapes. "Basilisk. Nothing I can't handle. They lurk near the edges of the forest, for people to stray into here."
He tosses the limp, scaly rope into the brush once more. "Blighted little fuckers they are. Let's go."
Lynn grimaced at the sounds, then at the limp body that was cast unapologetically into the brush.
"Oh my god… and you're than brutal to them??"
They retrieve the body, looking over the intricate patterns on the Basilisk's skin while muttering something soft. He then begins digging a hole, gently placing the creature inside before covering it up again.
"You people don't have respect for the things you share this world with, don't you." They sneered
Aiden whirls and glares. "They wither the crops and kill our armies. They hunt us down for their own amusement, like savages. I'm not saying they don't deserve life. I'm saying that we deserve revenge."
He growls. "No respect for the things in this world? If that is true, how would our world be so pristine compared to your Earth, hmm?"
Lynn crossed their arms, huffing with anger. "Do you? Or… have you once realized that you weren't the only thing this world was taking care of? That you might be hurting these creatures, taking what was once theirs??"
He then shook his head, eyes tearing. "Don't. I've heard enough." And soon enough, they disappeared into the forest.
"We, the people of this place, were chosen by these creatures to help them. The basilisks, the demons, we, the people of this place, protect this world from them. At one point, my ancestors, far, far back gave their lives so that me and you could live in harmony with these creatures. This world has no place for plagues and demons, Lynn." Aiden growls.
Aiden follows quickly after Lynn. "I'm sorry, Lynn. But you must understand that this land's troubles, this kingdom's troubles, are mine. I may make violent choices, but only to protect those I love."
And then he says something that might turn Lynn against him: "And you wanted to come in here to fight things anyways. This is where we keep the shit that I don't want to fight, because to wipe it out would be to assure my people's destruction too; stuff like basilisks and demons. We gave them places to be. And now I'm in here, trying to make you happy."
Lynn, still hurt, thinks over the information, staring at the ground where the creature was buried. They sat on the ground, wondering what was wrong with this twisted world, why things were like this. they thought they were fighting evils, not creatures who were protecting their territory.
"I want to go home." He mumbled, shaking their head.
