I just finished the first book and IT'S SO GOOD

Aaah this is my favourite series! I'm currently rereading it and I'm almost finished Thunderhead. I can't wait for The Toll to come out.

I haven't read Thunderhead yet but I'm gonna buy it as soon as I can.
Honest to god though, Citra and Rowan are two of the best characters I have ever read!! And the concept too!!

Honestly, yeah. I feel like Neal Shusterman writes female characters better than a lot of female author's I've read. Citra is everything I've ever wanted in a strong female character. Rowan is pretty cool too though.
Also, Goddard is a great villain.

Same. No one that I know irl really reads the same books as I do for the most part, so it's nice finally having some people to discuss my favourite series with. I did get my friend to start reading Scythe though, and I really hope she likes it.

Tbh though, I don't think there's very many characters that I don't like in this series.

I actually really liked Goddard. As in, you know that love you feel when a villain is just so nieghdjowjrbrjmzen and you're in awe?

@Starfast, did you see that Owlcrate is doing an exclusive cover for The Toll?

I didn't, but that sounds really neat. I've already preordered my copy though because back in like July because it went on sale here in Canada after it was chosen as a most anticipated release by one of the big book store chains up here.

Ok, I'm bumping this thread because I stayed up until 3:30 finishing The Toll last night and I don't know how I'm supposed to pick up another book after that, because it was so amazing. Anyone else finished it yet?

Although, I don't really like them and Greyson as a couple. They're both awesome characters but it felt like an odd pairing for me. And same with Rand and Tyger.

Jeri is legit the most wholesome character I've read about in a while.

They're not like an OTP of mine, but they're cute together and it makes sense, I just preferred them as friends. That being said, I really liked them together in The Toll!
