What are they like? Pleadingly holds out hands for a summary because I haven't been able to find a good book recently
o ka yyyyyy!!! YES! sales pitch time
In short, a semi-modern London has been plagued by a epidemic of ghosts (the Problem). Children are the only ones who can see them, and thus are the ones to fight them. The story opens up on a small company of ghost hunters–Lockwood and Co. The three teens, Lockwood, Lucy and George, run their own agency. Anthony Lockwood is the charismatic, charming but mysterious leader. The POV character is Lucy Carlyle, the newest member of the agency. She's stubborn, sassy, but extremely likable. George Cubbins is the intelligent, inquisitive but sarcastic one. (I Love theM aLL so mUch)
The books themselves are written in first person and Lucy is the best narrator ever.
There are five books in the series, total, and all of them are my fav in their own ways. They're British, so what more do you need?
Read them!! You won't regret it!!
If you need a teaser, here's the opening line to the first book, The Screaming Staircase:
Of the first few hauntings I investigated with Lockwood & Co. I intend to say little, in part to protect the identity of the victims, in part because of the gruesome nature of the incidents, but mainly because, in a variety of ingenious ways, we succeeded in messing them all up. There, I've admitted it!
I might give them a try, thanks for the little summary :)
Do it! :) @Rvan<3
