Yeah, Metatron was the voice of god, and Beezlebub was the prince of hell.

Uh… I think they added him because… They wanted a well-known angel to serve as the opposite to the fly person, maybe? I don't really know, though. In the book Metatron was the main angel person, right? It's been a while since I've read the book, so I might not be remembering everything correctly.

Metatron was the only angel that actually like… did stuff. There were some in the beginning too.Never Gabriel, though. I don't know why.
