So, I’m a relatively new user(at least to the forums) and I want to roleplay, but I don’t really know how that works and I don’t want to read through one of the very long roleplays to figure it out. If anyone else has questions too, then feel free to ask for other people to answer.
-The person who starts the roleplay will have rules, read them please! These rules are usually about the kind of roleplay it is, what the rating should be kept to, how long each response should be, if cursing/LGBTQ+ is allowed, etc…
-Usually, when your character is doing something it's in third person (Ex: David walked through the hallway, nodding and waving at the people he knew.) (some people might ask you do do this differently and put the actions in brackets…Ex:[walks through the hallway and nods and waves at people he knows])
-Usually, when your character is speaking, please use quotations! These are important!
-When your character is thinking, most people would like you to put the star things on both sides of the thought so it's italicized (Ex: What is going on here? He thought) [The star things look like this… *]

Well, really you just gotta come up with a basic story line and post it in one of the roleplay forum groups depending on what your roleplay is about. Write up some rules that you would like people to follow, create a template for people to create their characters, and just wait for other people to join. It's very uncommon for no one to join because there's so many people on Notebook now that you're bound to find someone who likes the idea and would love to roleplay with you.
