I love the outfits you draw! I second Snowy in saying your improvement is great! They're so much better than the hoodies I give most of my characters. (Also the penguins are adorable)
That reminds me that when I was like…… 6 or 7(?) I had a 'fashionista' book where it gives you off looking anime models and markers worse than the ones at a dollar store to draw outfits. I would dig it up but the designs were so cringy it's engrained in my brain so I won't bother. They were basically rip-offs of anything I was watching at the time, mostly Disney, but as super bad recolors with horribly shaky line work. I think I came across it while cleaning and just buried it again because I hated even knowing the drawings were there.
Thanks. lol. That story sounds amazing, and now all I want is to see those drawings. Ha ha.
And y'all haven't even seen the worst of it. Oh goodness no. My 'realism' exhibit is absolutely horrifying. Completely and utterly horrifying.
Oof, I'm thinking about redrawing something out of the very first sketchbook but I would actually have to find something that I can work with XD
So apparently I did a redraw without knowing I did a redraw? I just randomly drew Mickey Mouse 5 years apart
aaaaaaaaaaa I love her dress!

that's really good??? how???? it looks like the real (well, not real real, but you know what I mean lol) one!
aaaaaaaaaaa I love her dress!
Thanks Ravens! I actually made that dress in real life. It's not finished, but I still made it. Ha ha.

what that's awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, next up is the attempted realism exhibit. Oh goodness this frightens me… worst part, is that it's only a year or so old.
This one I was so proud of then, but now I can't even say all of the things wrong with it… JUST LOOK AT THOSe EYEBROWS LOOKIN LIKE SHE GOT BOTOX!
I loved this one so much that I actually drew a colored version. I am just wondering where all the texture has gone! She looks like plastic. And again… with the eyebrows. Oh goodness….
Her chin is said to have been used to stab her enemies. Don't get on her bad side.
Her bangs are just… what? Why did I create this?
Her eyes look 2D. Where is the shading? What is up with her teeth? This one just confuses me…
Eyes are so close they must be good friends. And those cheekbones though! Dang girl!
All their eyes are completely expressionless. Wonderful…
I can't look at this one for very long. The longer you look, the worse it gets.
Oh goodness… whyy? This was an attempted self portrait and…. bleh… it's nasty. It is more concerning to think I thought that's what I looked like, because i know for a fact that that monstrosity does not look like me.
She is staring into my soul…. yelch!
That expression though… oh my word it's so creepy. DX
They aren't that bad! I keep thinking to dig up my old stuff but then I remember when I tried realism…. I'll show an older artwork once I have a redraw to show with it. I actually think you did quite well on the eyes and hair! Especially since, at least for me, bangs and hairlines are hard to draw.
they're actually pretty good! I could not draw that good a year ago. But you've improved, which makes it even better! i've realized that I'm not making any sense so I'll shut up now
I know that I should do more realism, but I keep having to do time sensitive semi-realism stuff and I never have time to practice.
Myeh. They might not be horrid, but there's a difference between childish drawings and actual attempts at making things look realistic. The iris's in the eyes look so blank and terrible, and the eyelashes, oh goodness, are basically just lines around the eyes. But whatever. They're old and they don't reflect what my drawing is like now. But thanks anyways. Ha ha.
(I just realized one of them have wolf/cat ears and I remember for the longest time I always drew animal ears like that.)(Also my new profile picture is my colored, but unshaded, persona I was working on.)
(aaaaay I did too. And I think they were supposed to be fox ears. Yes, I know, they looking nothing like fox ears. Just another thing wrong with the drawing. Ha ha. Also, the colored/unshaded version of that drawing is so amazing!)
(Oof. I'm surprised I didn't suggest fox ears. I really like foxes and the other drawings you showed have foxes. And thanks for saying it's good! I decided I should render it in a more reference sheet no shading format for now to keep colors consistent and uncluttered. I might post the full drawing in a moment.)
I guess I got distracted at some point because I never posted the art… Here it is! Once again it takes up the entire screen.
(About time I updated my profile picture tbh. The colors is this artwork are much better.)
Oh my gosh that's amazing!
that's really cool!
Oh my gosh that's amazing!
Thanks! I don't actually think I'm going to shade it now. The more I think about it the more I think it's better I just use it as a colored reference image.
Ah hello friends. I don't have any old art that I want to share so we're not gonna talk about it. Speaking of art we're not proud of, I drew a guy running (one of my first attempts at motion) and I think it looks bad. I colored it and it made it worse, oof. Here's the uncolored bc I hate the colored so much:
Looks good Emi! Even if you're not proud if it the work gets the idea of motion across, and there's always room to improve. It's hard to show motion right in a still image, I mess up in that area quite a bit especially when I try to do a 3/4ths view.
mmmmm i found my place. i love u guys this is all very good stuff!!! @/Emi I can relate to the hating colored versions thing but I'm sure yours is great! I think you did the motion very well and I love the flowing hair. keep truckin
Another thing I did for #SayHerName. Celebrating African heritage with dance! The anatomy is fucking horrible and I could do better with the colors, but I like it! Thoughts, anyone?
