When I make obvious mistakes because when I sketch it’s darker then the black of my glasses and erase it but it never goes away I can’t just give up on it, I continue, and that’s why I shade color with my pencil.

What’s the hardness of your pencil

Can’t really list it, but have you ever seen a drawing of mine? Those same colors of shading I use on the sketch as I do anything else.

Is it like a regular writing pencil?

It’s a lead pencil, I use something more of a writing pencil.

Okay. I’m guessing it’s like HB or 2B or something. I would invest in a 2H pencil and draw really lightly.

UPDATE: I found a blade thingy and scraped off just enough of the paper that the ink is gone, I colored over it with a colored pencil and it's not super noticeable. I think I might be able to save this after all!

@Hey_Its_Snowy_And_Im_Generally_Confused

do you ever just….color something and then realize
it's on the wrong layer

Yes often

omg yes
Sometimes I’ll be outlining a quick sketch something and then I plan to delete the other drawing and then I realize I did it in the same layer and uGh

I don’t sketch digitally, if I do anything digitally I trace my own art and color them, sometimes for fun.

UPDATE UPDATE: It still looks absolutely terrible, but it's an acceptable level of terrible. I just avoided possibly the worst art disaster I've experienced in a year or more…

oooooof

@ravens

I am so sick of the color red (I'm coloring in my earlier sketch of Ladybug. Do you know how much red that is? Hella.)

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

I'm so torn… The painting is a re-draw of some old art, and it looks 4000x better when compared to the old drawing, but it looks like absolute garbage compared to its sketch…?

I needed a reference pic of an apple with lighting underneath it, so I turned the lights in my room off, got a flashlight and did that. Then a bit the apple like you would shove an apple in the mouth of a roasted pig and did some surreal shots with my iPad of my face lit from various angles with a flashlight and an apple in my mouth
