Hey all! A small release went out last night, but I wanted to let everyone know about it anyway.
The activity feed on your profile pages has been redesigned a bit (see the before and after below). The images you upload are now highlighted next to each page.
I'd like to improve collaboration features soon, and one of the ways I'm looking at doing so is letting you enable comments or questions from other users on your worldbuilding pages. The next step for the activity feed on your profile is probably to let other users follow your public activity and leave comments/questions on those pages. Whether this is just straight up "normal" comments or something more interesting (Q&A for your characters or something) is still in the works, but I'd like to do something cool. :)
The number of items shown in your activity feed has been increased. Previously it depended on a few factors but averaged 3-4 recent pages per user. You should now see your most recent 20 pages in your activity feed no matter what, and I plan on adding ways to scroll back further soon, too.
As a friendly reminder, all pages on Notebook.ai are private by default and only visible to others when you intentionally make them visible. There's now an indicator on each item on your profile to better remind you which ones are public versus private:
With this release, you can also @-mention universes in your documents or worldbuilding pages now. They were disabled with the initial @-mention release but are available now.
Lastly, several pages (specifically profiles and your dashboard) have been optimized to load a bit faster. I'm getting another release ready (to hopefully go out tonight, but maybe tomorrow night) that should speed up the rest of the site and keep page loads close to zero. When you're inspired, your tool should get out of the way and let you build worlds. :)
Happy worldbuilding, all!
