MIDAS IS THE MAIN VILLAIN UNDER A DIFFERENT NAME
he takes Dorota from them, which breaks the building relationship between Lysia and Diego before it even starts
Near the end of the story, they find Dorota as a gold statue
Midas, a fallen ultimate God, takes Dorota so she won't be the new God
Because someone (Midas?) killed god, and the Sky wants Dorota since she is the best balance of goodness and power
Was God killed? Poisoned by the role? Suicide? Gave up his power due to stress? Forced to give up his power? Accidental death? Is every spirit but the sky dead? What were/are the main spirits of this world, and why is it them in control? how do they appear? how did they find dorota? what happens when lysia and dorota find each other at the end? have they become sworn enemies? what exactly changes in lysia with this new use of her power? why did she have to turn to the dark spirits? how did the others react?
The crew do not know this, all they know is that Dorota was taken by a ultra-powerful spirit thanks to some sort of power gauging thing (little do they know it's the sky itself),
And Lysia realizes that the only possible way she can beat the spirit that has taken Dorota captive is by learning the control of her power from the Dark Main Spirits, the only ones with the equivalent power to the sky
She didn't initially want her power, and didn't want to face the dark side of her, risk of her giving in, becoming dark, being corrupted, has to give up her honour of staying only moderately powerful, her belief that the dark isn't the answer, the careful balance and fight of light and dark in her, and every relationship on earth because she needs to enter the dark realm to train her power and she can only do that as a half-light half-dark child and the others in the group cant
what is the role of the others on land then? what do they do, become? how do they support lysia in this decision?
dorota gets taken anyway midfight, so the others have to rescue diego who feels super guilty and becomes a harder, more violent character. midas cant get dorota anymore, and so midas and the crew on land (so not lysia) team up to find dorota
Why would they team up with midas? claiming to protect dorota maybe?
As a militia, they move from village to village. Midas ransacks 3 villages until finally group hears about it, figure out its the last 3 villages they've stayed at. Head for Midas's palace, passing by broken villages. villagers remember soldiers looking for "she" and group figure either lysia as most powerful or yanni as leader. send diego and kohmir out to stake out palace guard and diego gets kidnapped as bait (unbeknownst to group).
Midas is the king but his guard hurts the people, and the group protect the people from the guard
Lysia finds it easier to fall for Diego when Dorota is gone because he’s closer to what she knows, he’s a darker person and therefore easier to understand
