Amethyst wasn’t always the little ghost general of the Chancla Army.
She used to be a regular human.
A long time ago, 13-year-old Amethyst was out exploring, despite having learned of the dangers that lie outside her village’s walls. She soon met a particularly sassy chicken, and a few other people attempting to restrain the chicken.
She watched with interest, and eventually became friends with this small group of people. She even dragged her friend, Echo, along with her to meet her friends.
This friends group grew very quickly, but she mostly talked to Echo, brainstorming the stories in her head with her.
Everything was going great, until something went horribly wrong with Echo’s powers, resulting in Ame’s death. Ame was reincarnated as a ghost soon after, but it was still a tragedy.
And so, Ame lived for an unspecified amount of time as a ghost, causing problems, chopping limbs, and being a bad swordsman. She was also adopted by Pandora at some point.
Then the group started forming teams, which grew into tribes, which grew into the four Kingdoms. Enemies were declared, and war struck. Ame was instantly bumped to the position of General in Pandora’s Chancla Army, despite not having much skill in that area. Her biological parents died early on in the war, as they were caught in the crossfire along with many others who lived in her old village.
Ame was never taken seriously as a general, and was constantly picked on and talked down to, but she never told her mother, or anyone for that matter. She just suffered in silence to the point where she was always mentally exhausted but always hiding it. She just smiled her way through her struggles, never seeking any help.
After the war had finally ended, Ame thought she finally had a chance to escape back to a semi-normal life. Until the “peaceful negotiations” between the kingdoms started. She was forced to attend, even though she was never of much use. She normally stayed in the background, chatting with friends, drawing, or napping. Pandora never seemed to mind.
She thought the worst of it was over. Everybody did.
But a certain newcomer proved them all wrong, in ways they could never have imagined. Ways that could have ended the worlds as we know it...
But we’re not there yet, are we? No spoilers for you.
