This story takes place after Apotheosis in the same universe after Nexus tried to reach “perfection” for a new world where ideally they would get rid of the defects. Still, instead, the “defects” were the ones who survived and eliminated everyone else. This new world would be designed specifically for the softer more domestic beings.

This is more of a "you can interact with these beings because they're not hostile and act a lot like humans even though they aren't anymore/never were (some used to be humans)". Kind of like people living in harmony in the modern world with magic/fantasy stuff but instead make it things of nightmares.
