Overview

Jennifer's MergerA Contemporary RomanceCora's Mountain Man Book Two Jennifer is happy for her best friend Cora, who's found the perfect man for her, and Jennifer knows Zechariah Tyson is nobody to dismiss. Cora's got it good, and she's happy for her. As for Jennifer, what she loves most is how they've been able to finally get started on their dream of really practicing law the way they've always wanted to.
Cora handles Zechariah's nonprofit and Jennifer is ready to build the corporate clientele. She's excited about meeting a new client recommended by Tyson after a very sexy phone call but it seems like on the day she's supposed to meet him, everything goes wrong. First, she ends up in the woods, lost during her morning walk. Then, a real jerk shows up, infuriating her at a time when she needs to be focused.
Add to that the jerk is attractive as can be, and it gets even worse. She doesn't need double the distraction. She has some choice words for the man. And then discovers he's the potential client. Why in the world does that just make more sparks fly? Would you like a little peak? We did that on purpose. Get it? Peak, like a mountain? We're not just romantic, we're clever. Anyway, want a peek? It was hard enough being embarrassed about the whole getting lost in the forest thing but it was particularly difficult because Easton wasn't just extraordinarily attractive but was also in town for a reason that impacted me.
I hated that I would see him when he arrived at the office for his meeting. The only silver lining was that the meeting wasn't for business I was handling. We'd been walking for about fifteen minutes when I stopped short, sudden terror making me feel weak. He turned around and I whispered, "Is your middle name Jack?"He nodded. "Yeah. Why?""Oh, God. And your last name?""Sole."I felt my world kind of imploding.
"You're E. Jack Sole?"He nodded. "How in the world do you know my name?""You're in town mostly for a hiking trip but you called a friend who's recommended the firm. You're fitting in business while you're here.""This is getting strange, " he said with a smile. "I'm expecting your minions to come out of the trees with guns aimed at any time now.""Remember back when I said you were a stupid asshole?""Stupid asshole who wouldn't be able to hike his way out of a cardboard box, I believe, " he said."Well, it looks like I'm pretty stupid, too." She extended her hand.
"I'm Jessica. You're in town to meet with me."He smiled for a second. "So, you can sell me on your law firm, " he said.
