Lady of the Lake

One morning, a guy was fishing off a public dock in "Horton". He was pondering ideas about how to get his family through the following winter. Ever since "The Siege of The Dragons", the harvest has been terrible and the skies have been dark and cloudy. This man saw a lady rise from the lake. She was not walking on the water, but rather just walking out. The sun shimmered off her and seemed to make her glow. As she walked, grass grew in her footsteps. She started to walk into the fields. She put her arms out to her side. The glow seemed to fade away. And as she disappeared from the man's sight, all the crops almost immediately grew to full harvest. The man was so stunned, he fell off the dock and into the water. When he reemerged, the skies were clear and sunny. The man's name was Ed. Ed ran into the town square, where he went into the Pub on the Corner. When he entered, dripping wet. He yelled "The fields are fully grown." Many patrons looked at him like he was insane. They were all preparing for another bad winter. Some even ignored him. Ed then went on to say, "A lady walked out of the lake, and she..." One Patron cut him off, "Ed, are you drunk again?" Ed said, "Well, yes I am, aren't you?" At that moment everyone started to laugh at him. Ed then tried to say. "Look outside." No one could hear him over the laughter. Ed then left the Pub to go home. Once he arrived back home, his wife said, "Your back already dear?" Ed said, "Yes hun" Wife said, "And you have no fish?" "What are we going to eat?" She was upset.
