Son of the Cosmos Part 4

Lucas rushed inside a closed the door behind him, slowly backing away. Still in shock from what he witnessed.

"You're home quite late," Lucy said, startling Lucas.

"Oh uh, I um had a lot of people today!" Lucas lied.

"Oh, well that sounds nice. I already put your siblings to bed."

"Did they eat?"

"Yes, I made them a little something,"

"Did you eat?"

Lucy stood nervously.

"Well, not exactly" She muttered.

"Ma..."

"Your siblings needed attending first,"

"But you can't forget about yourself"

Lucy sighed.

"You're just like your father, always worrying,"

"Well good, you need someone to worry about you. Now come on, I have leftover fruit from the shop,"

Lucas fixed his mother a fruit salad then she went to bed. Lucas was still shocked about what had happened.

[That had to have been magic, there's no other way.] Lucas thought to himself. [Whoever that was, why would they save me? They could have killed have me just like those guys. Just doesn't make sense.] Lucas then tried to sleep.

Outside of Lucas' window, a figure is seen walking past and Lucas' crystal once again glowed for a brief moment, Lucas is then altered by a noise. [What the hell was that?] He thought. He sat up on his bed, facing the window. [A predator?] He asked himself. [What if it smelled the twins? Shit] Lucas got out of bed a headed to Cindy and Carter's room. [Thank Aurora they're okay. Ma!] He checked his mother's room as well. [Phew. Now what the hell was outside.] Suddenly there's a crash in the kitchen. Lucas slowly made his way to the kitchen to see the same figure from earlier in the house, he froze as he tried to figure out what to do.

His claws were ready to attack the figure as he got closer. Lucas made a slight noise and the figure bolted out of the kitchen, Lucas chased after the figure. As they ran into the forest the figure was lost and Lucas was out of breath, Lucas grew agitated.

"Where the fuck are you!?" He yelled.

Suddenly the crystal around his neck began to glow.

"W-what the?"

The crystal pulled him in a direction which he followed, the crystal lead him to the figure he was chasing. Lucas was about to lunge at the figure when the figure fell back, but then he got a good look at them. It was a boy about his age, with black hair and unnatural bright blue hair on the bottom. He had an unusual tail, with horns and a halo. His eyes were blue, and his pupils had symbols he had never seen before.

"What are you?" Lucas asked. The situation felt familiar to him.

"P-please, don't hurt me," The boy pleaded.

The boy's face gleamed with realization.

"Where did you get that crystal?" He asked.

"None of your business," Lucas gave him a death stare. "What were you doing inside my house?"

"I'm sorry, I was just hungry,"

"For flesh?"

"Heavens no! I just needed some food,"

Lucas didn't completely buy his story, but he could tell he was hungry.

"I promise I wasn't trying to eat anyone, I just need food," The boy swore.

"Okay, I guess I could give you some food," Lucas said.

"Thank you so much,"
