He worked as an engineer on the Space Shuttle program for ten years before becoming a business owner, church planter, lead pastor, high school football coach and public-school teacher. He is married to Jonsie Ivey and together they have two remarkable children and three beautiful granddaughters. He and his wife manage a ministry called Truth That Inspires (TruthThatInspires.com) whose mission is to encourage people to read the Bible and be transformed by its message of forgiveness, love and hope.
