"The Leader and the Ambassador are still getting ready, but while you're waiting, would you two like to be treated to a cup of Galries tea?" one of the Galrian maids, a dainty Coatl, offered. Laeveris lurched her neck slightly and grinned, "Yes. Could I have a pot for me and a cup for my friend? Whatever variety you have will do fine." The maid looked Laeveris up and down and gave a small cough. "Of course, but it may take some moments to prepare your cup. Please be patient." The Coatl's voice trembled.
With a bow, the maid disappeared into one of the corridors of the embassy. Wowzers whispered to Laeveris, "How cruel of you". Some silent minutes went by until some wheels could be faintly heard rattling against the floorboards of the embassy. The Coatl maid had returned with a cart in tow, as well as a Pearlcatcher friend, wearing matching maid attire. The Coatl easily placed Wowzer's cup, already placed, meanwhile the both of them needed to delicately hoist Laeveris' teapot onto the table. The Pearlcatcher took to shooting looks at Laeveris for the ordeal as the Coatl bowed once more. "Leader Gallah decided she wants a cup of tea as well, so the meeting will begin in around three to five minutes. Please be prepared by then".
As the Coatl turned away, she looked to her Pearlcatcher friend and had a silent exchange before the Pearlcatcher straightened up and began walking away with her. When they were gone from sight, Wowzers exhaled deeply, and Laeveris took a long swig of tea. Laeveris' ears perked up.
"My, Galrian tea is truly something else," She remarked. Wowzers glanced up to Laeveris, "Try not to get too indulged going into the meeting... Is there anything you feel you've forgotten?" Laeveris made a gesture to wait before setting down her cup. Her hands motioned as she tried to remember all her points, then the motioning paused and her posture shrank slightly. "Nnnno, but if I did forget anything, I have it all written down here." Laeveris reassured, opening a small pouch secured to her flank and producing a small notebook from it, "Even then, it might not to hurt to review my notes for the time we have..." Wowzers seemed to nod with approval.
A familiar rattling of wheels echoed out into the embassy, accompanied by an extra set of footsteps. The Leader Gallah, an elderly Pearlcatcher wearing long, ornate robes, lead the pack; the Ambassador, a Mirror with a cowl over his face, walked beside her; and behind the two walked the Coatl maid with her tea cart and two Galrian guards.
