We sat in silence for a while. It didn't feel awkward this time though. Tilting his head, he asks me, "Did you know I was afraid of the ocean before we met ?"

 "actually, I could tell." of course i knew. Most people dont tremble just getting close to the water, or jump at a small wave.

"What? It's not that obvious don't lie to me." Genuine shock peered through his words. He was kind of cute when startled.
