The gods gain their power based on how many worshipers they have and also based on one of their tenants in their portfolio being fulfilled.
You do not need to directly worship or venerate a god to give that god power. Just by fulfilling one of their tenets is enough. A grieving widow is giving strength to Dolorr just by the virtue of her grief.
Anytime anyone used magic, seeks wisdom, or gains knowledge Selorna gains a bits of strength,
Anytime anyone murders, lies, or seeks revenge Morsash gains a bit of strength.
Anytime a forest expands, a plant sprouts, or a birth occurs Rylum gains a bit of strength.
On the surface, Selorna is regarded as the most powerful of the gods but Morsash is low key sneaky powerful due to his portfolio including lies because that is something that everyone does. As is Rylum for gaining power from every living creature simply by existing.
