About
It is based in a world where a large group of people end up waking up and finding that their lives are now connected to a Gyroscope. If the Gyroscope stops, that person dies, and the Gyroscope can last forever for some or for a short time for others. If one finds their Gyroscope, they won't die and have to wait until the remaining find their Gyroscopes before returning home. Nobody can die from natural causes and can only die from their Gyroscope. If they get hurt by others or by nature, they will regenerate quickly no matter how terrible their injuries are.
(Gyroscope fun facts: There is a theory that if put one in the right conditions a gyroscope could end up spinning for thousands of years)
Groups
There are three main groups + a duo I think I might follow. Felix and Rin's group will be the main focus since they are the ones who used to group up together until Felix and his allies went rogue.
List of groups with the main characters that will most often be seen in these groups. The groups aren't that small, and there are way more than four groups. Some people aren't in groups. They're just out for their own survival. They never needed to group, but they all thought it would be necessary to survive if there were to do so.
Group 1
It consists of Rin, Max, Damien, Sasha and Alice
Group 2
It consists of Felix, Alphie, S, Jellicoe, Kya and Xylo
Group 3
It consists of Stack, Zack, Brier, Myles and Otis
Duo
Dan and Whisp
Group 1 and 2 used to be together and then split off. Rin bans Felix from ever going near them again after he tries to kill Damien and states that Damien is stopping him from reaching his ultimate goal. Soon finds out he can destroy gyroscopes a few days after his banishment but she isn't too worried since she believes it will be a struggle for him to find them. She decided to banish him into the wild alone and banishes others who dared to follow him. Therefore they weren't allowed to be near Rin's group unless they wanted to join her alliance again. Felix, however, became even more power-hungry after realising he had the power to end a gyroscope's spin cycle. Therefore, he thought that ending lives would get him closer to 'winning', and later, he decided that he should be the only one to win and get back home instead of his group.
Dan and Whisp were never a part of any alliances and met by chance when multiple alliances, duos and singles had met up. They took to each other and decided to team up together because they realised it is probably the safest option. They both have their gyroscopes and are in a romantic relationship.
Amnesiacs
Alphie, Whisp and Kya
They all woke up with no memory of before the Gyroscope.
I'm trying to figure out if there should be a reason or not
Alphie is the only one to gain full or mostly full memories of his life out of the three. He doesn't remember being taken but he does remember the events just before it.
Romances + Triangles
-Alphie has a huge crush on S which S being S doesn't notice and just thinks that Alphie is intimidated by him and is glad about it. S, however, is crushing on Felix and so when Felix got kicked out of Rin's group he immediately joined Felix in which Alphie soon followed even though he hates and is terrified of Felix.
-Whisp + Dann: They met one day and decided to group up. They end up falling in love and becoming a couple. Sometime during the series, they end up married.
-Damien loves Rin but soon realises Rin just sees him as a friend and so decides not to tell her. He is happy for her when he finds out that she loves Max. Max and Rin end up dating at some point.
Felix
He is the most powerful character in the series. He is the only character who has the ability to completely control somebodies Gyroscope. This means he can destroy, bring back and temporarily end a gyroscope. His gyroscope will spin for infinity.

Damien
A scream escapes me as I feel something hard and sharp pierce through my stomach so quickly that it wasn't the pain that hit me first, but the confusion that soared through me as I flew through the air and ended up finding myself pierced to what I could only assume is a tree. It wasn't until a good second later that the sudden blinding pain attacked my whole body, making it shiver and the urge to vomit undeniably strong. It took a few seconds for me to figure out what was going on as I tried to get my vision as steady as I possibly could. I stare through the dark foliage trying hard to make out where this sudden arrow came from and why my companion was somehow nowhere to be seen. Once that registered in my brain, it takes all my energy to not fall into a blind panic as I move my shaky head from side to side. Where was he?. Where was Damien?. Did he...Did he betray me?. No. Surely not. We've been in this together this whole time. There is no way he could do a cold-blooded betrayal like this. I scream his name, hoping for a response. Nothing. I try to scream for him again, and I am stopped by another arrow that suddenly appears in the darkness and pierces into my other side, turning my screams into tearful howls and shakes, which only worsen the pain. I scrunch my eyes shut and try to focus on my breathing. To try to control it. To try and stop-
"Mornin, sugar cube. Hope I didn't ruin the start of your daaaay~" A familiar voice suddenly sings out. My eyes open in a flash, and I breathe in heavily as a figure emerges out of the shadows and can only just be made out through my shaky gaze. I stare at them for a while and then close my eyes again as I feel the tears that have suddenly formed slide down my face. It was Felix. Of fucking course, it was him.
"Wha-...Wha.."
"What am I doing?. Well. I broke our agreement if you couldn't tell. Sorry about that" His voice had turned snarky. I open my eyes again, and finally, I can keep my gaze on him for a lot longer. A large Cheshire cat grin was sitting on his face as leans against a tree. His cold gaze is sitting on mine as he holds a large black bow in one hand and in the other hand a fist. I quickly avert my gaze from the hand, but Felix notices my interest and his gigantic grin somehow becomes inhumane. Almost unhinged.
"You want to know what is in this hand, sweetheart?. Well. I'll let you figure that out~" Felix says in response as he drops the bow with a thump onto the ground below. He then lifts that hand and flicks his wrist so quickly that I felt as though I might fall into dizziness again. I scream in response as a body vertically floats through the air towards me and then stops in between Felix and me. Damien floats in the air just above the ground. His eyes were wide, and his mouth gagged. My eyes revert to the fist as my soul sinks as I realise what may be in there.
"NO!" I scream as I finally find I can let some sort of sound out. I wince as the pain starts up again, creating a whirlpool of colours surrounding me as I let out a noise as acid crawls up my throat and escapes my mouth. No. There is no way that he found it first. The terrifying inhumane smile never leaves Felix as he opens the fist to reveal the small spinning gyroscope sitting in the palm of his hand. There is a name engraved on it, but it is too far away to make it out.
"I wish I could say I'm sorry for this, but in reality, I'm really not. I want my team to win. I want to lead them to sweet victory before our times run out, and unfortunately for you, this is the only way for me to get closer to sweet, sweet victory!" Felix grins, his voice is rising with each word. No. There is no way. This had to be some kind of cruel joke.
"This...This isn't some kind of game, Felix," I manage to say before more blinding pain hits me. Felix frowns and cocks his head ever so slightly.
"Is it not?" Felix mutters as he lifts the hand with the Gyroscope in the air with force. I scream for him to stop as my eyes land on Damien, who is struggling hard against whatever spell Felix has him in. Felix raises his eyebrows as the sounds of Damien are now able to be heard through the gag. Felix makes no noise as he swipes a hand through the air again, making it, so the gag disappears and lets Damien inhale a large breath. Damien tries to turn his head towards Felix but gives up as the magic appears to grow a stronger hold. Instead, his eyes look sideways towards Felix.
"These are real people, Felix!. There are no sides!. This may feel like a game, but it sure as hell isn't. This is real life. Our lives. Lives that you are stopping from being able to go back home because of this sick power frenzy!" Damien snarls as his eyes turn into slits. Felix nods slowly as if he were taking all this information in. Almost as if it was all new to him. Soon though, his eyes grow bigger to the point, I swear they are glowing in the darkness. A smirk falls onto his face.
"Well. That's a shame," Felix mutters, his voice dark and cold as I watch in horror as he lifts the hand in the air and then throws it down, releasing the Gyroscope so quickly that the only thing that I can see of it is it bouncing and rolling right towards Felix's feet. I hold in a cry as I watch the small precious tie to life get shattered and in the corner of my eye see Damien's eyes grow wide at the impact and then his body falling to the ground into a limp heap just below my feet. I bite at my lip as tears fall freely and wildly down my face as I stare. I vaguely hear a giggle from Felix as he turns around and disappears. Then, a few seconds later, the two arrows shoot out of my stomach, making me fall right beside Damien. The pain feels as though it might kill me as my vision becomes fuzzy and dots start to float around my eyes, but the ability to scream or cry is lost now, and the only thing that I can feel is a profound dark numbness within me. I can't believe it. He's gone. The man I started this whole journey with—the man who refused to leave my side no matter what. The only person who put his complete trust in me, the only person I was able to fully trust in this world, and just like that, he was gone. Fallen into whatever oblivion you reach in death.
Rin's Death (Main Character)
When?. Idk.
And then suddenly, a strange feeling washes through me as we bash our way through the bushes. A feeling I had never felt before, but somehow in my brain, I knew exactly what it was. Goosebumps start to form as my head feels as though it is stuffed with cotton, and my body feels as though it is sinking into the ground. I don't make a sound as I gaze up at Max's back as he continues to walk, obviously not noticing that I have now lagged behind him. I breathe in heavily, which only worsens the effect of falling, which keeps on becoming stronger by the second as my vision starts to fade to a muted grey. I could have sworn that I heard a voice before I-
S
Running from the concrete bunker proved more difficult than they had thought. First of all, it was further away from the base and second of all the forest was very easy to get lost in. The excitement the two boys had been feeling before had quickly withered away into anxiousness and stress that made Alphie lag behind with exhaustion. S continued on not noticing just how far away Alphie was. All he wanted was to find Felix and give him the tablet. Felix would be thrilled. He would have to be. Who wouldn't be thrilled about finding the most valuable thing in this world?. S purrs a little as he looks down at the tablet. He looks behind him and watches as a sweaty and miserable looking Alphie catches up to him. Alphie opens his mouth but no noise but harsh breathing escapes it as they stand there so still, that S is sure that nobody would be able to see them. A few seconds later they keep on walking until they finally hear a voice. A screaming heartbroken voice that nearly shattered their eardrums. A voice that didn't seem to shut up. S moans and blocks his ears as he tries to walk further away from the noise. Suddenly he feels a hand on his shoulder and he turns around quickly already forgetting that the pea brain had been following him.
"We should see who that is. They sound upset" Alphie says quietly. S tch's at him and continues walking away from the noise and towards where he felt was their base.
"No"
"What?. Why?" Alphie asks.
"We need to get to Felix. If you care so much then leave" S snaps. Alphie makes no noise as he glares at him and then runs in the direction of the screaming. Idiot. They were probably being hunted by something. He wouldn't be surprised if Alphie never came back because of some rabid creature. S continues walking as he tries not to fall over the tangle of tree roots that seem to get more tangled as he continues on. S moans realising he was lost. So ridiculously lost. He looks around in a circle and then randomly selects a way to go. Surely that could help him back to the camp?. Maybe he should have gone with pea brain to check out that noise. That could have meant that he was close and just made a terrible error of judgement. S mentally kicks himself as he follows the route that he decided on. It felt like hours before he finally found himself in a familiar clearing. The clearing he woke up in so many months ago. The clearing hadn't changed much apart from the fact that it was now spotted with long pure white flowers that looked like a fresh pile of snow. He didn't want to admit it but it looked beautiful. Almost ethereal. S closes his eyes trying to map out the trail to Felix's base from this area. He lets out another sigh and sits in the tall flowers. Exhausted and annoyed he punches at the ground which lets a bunch of flowers surrounding him explode into snowy floating petals that land on almost every inch of his body.
"How amusing," A familiar cool voice says from behind him. S jumps up onto his feet the petals cascading down his body and onto the ground below him.
"Felix!. Finally!. I got lost" S states trying to hide his embarrassment as he meets the sharp blue eyes and then lips that are curled into a small smile as Felix walks up to him and then brushes the remaining petals off his head. A small feeling of excitement fluctuated through S' body like electricity as he lets Felix brush them off.
"I have something for you," S says as he grabs the tablet and displays it in front of Felix whose face doesn't change as he effortlessly takes the tablet out of his hands. Felix scrolls through it with intense interest and then he looks at S who is unable to read the expression that was forming on Felix's face.
"How intriguing. You have done well" Felix sounds almost proud. S grins at him.
"Indeed!. We are now even more powerful!. We now know everything!. EVERYTHING!" S answers with a grin.
"Ai" Felix answers softly as he scrolls through the tablet. Felix then slips the tablet into a pocket and his face goes back to unreadable as he slips a hand into a different pocket and keeps it there for a while.
"You have done good" Felix says again.
"What's happening?" S asks as he feels sweat go down his forehead. He tries to hide the goosebumps that have suddenly come upon his arms as he can't shake the feeling that something was off. No. Something was incredibly wrong.
"You have done what you have needed to do," Felix sighs as he pulls the gyroscope out of his pocket. S opens his eyes wide.
"Huh?. I thought you would need me more" S then falls to the ground without a sound as petals fly into the air and then slowly float down towards his body.

Felix smirks as he looks down at Sebastian's lifeless body. Even though he was
useful he was just one more obstacle in his way to becoming ever powerful. Becoming
the only human in this world to survive. All others were beneath him and soon they will
see that they should fear him. That Rin's small posse will regret ever banishing him. A
grin creeps onto his face as he walks over Sebastian and into the forest beyond.
(I have come to a decision that he won't die. Instead, S will realise his obsession with Felix was wrong when he sees that Felix doesn't care what happens to others in the same group after he witnesses a death)

The Tablet
Alphie suddenly screams out something from the other side of the dark, dank room that S couldn't work out as he rummaged through the so far empty drawers of the concrete room.
"What?" S yells back. Alphie's squished head suddenly appears from behind one of the cabinets. S could just make out a grin in the darkness and immediately is curious. What could be so good that made him so excited?. S decides to come and investigate.
"Bro. Bro. Bro. Look. Look at this!. Isn't this amazing!. Felix could become even more powerful!. We could rule this world yah know!" Alphie answers almost immediately as he holds up what looked to be a tablet. A tablet?. How could that make one powerful?.
"It's a tablet, Alphie", S sighs loudly and goes to turn.
"Look at it, though!. I swear to god you will love this," Alphie screeches, making S jump. S turns and glares at him making Alfie cower as S swipes the tablet out of Alphie's hands. S' disappointment leaves as he turns the tablet on and sees its contents. A thrilling feeling goes through him, making his skin pop up with goosebumps as he goes through pages and pages of what appeared to be profiles of everyone that they had met and others that have yet to meet on this world. Even better yet. There were countdown timers underneath each head. S turns to Alphie and lifts one hand in which Alphie softly high fives back.
"You can do better than that, you idiot. You just discovered something important!. You have proven yourself well, pea brain," S states as he keeps his hand up. Alphie then tries to clap his hand harder, and S grins at him.
"So...Do we give it to Felix?" Alphie asks.
"Of course, you idiot. Who else would we give it to?" S snaps as he stares at the screen for a little longer. Then he thinks of something and then tries to shrink the screen. He grins as the single icon becomes multiple ones. All of peoples faces. Photos that looked like passport photos. S scrolls through the rows of faces until he finally finds himself and laughs loudly as he finds his own countdown timer. Oh, how glorious it was!. He subconsciously calms down as he realises he didn't need to worry about whether his death was close. For his death would never happen. The best outcome he could possibly hope for as he watches the timer slowly count down. He looks towards Alphie, who appeared to be flabbergasted as he watched. S grins at him and then gives it to him. Alphie immediately scrolls through the faces until he finds his own, and as soon as he does, a big frown falls on his face.
"What is it?. Alphie. How much time do you have left?" S demands as the boys blue eyes slowly turn red as tears start to run down his face.
"3 months" Is all he says before the tablet starts to make a large buzzing sound that surprises both of them and nearly causes Alphie to drop it. They both look down at the tablet and gasp as another profile overrides Alphie's. They don't have to look twice to guess who it was. They both look up at each other with shock as a countdown timer for 20 seconds beeps over the top of a girl with dark hair and even darker brown eyes. Rin. S stares down at it with it. Rin?. The last person out of her alliance they had expected to die.
"Goddamn", Alphie whispers under his breath as he watches the timer count down until it
ticked down to 10, and he has to look away. Almost as if he was watching her death
happen right in front of him. A strange feeling overflows S as he watches the precious
seconds tick until finally, it reaches zero. S expected something more to happen, but
nothing ever did apart from her screen becoming dark and her profile disappearing into
oblivion. S closes his eyes and takes a big breath. One enemy, less and yet he felt so
melancholic. A deep sadness squeezes his heart as he grabs Alphie's shoulder and
starts to scroll through the tablet once more, hoping to try and shrink this sadness and
maybe find Felix's profile. Perhaps seeing that would make him thrilled. He scrolls through
the profiles for a bit longer as he tries to ignore small sniffs and sobs escaping
Alphie. He finally finds the profile, and his mouth hangs open wide as he stares at the
timer. How was this possible?. Was this the man's destiny Felix kept on blabbering on
about?. Was the man truly destined to be the king of this world?. He tries to breathe in
more air as he continues to stare at the infinity symbol that snaked through Felix's name.
