General Synopsis

1.

Task Landager is an adolescent on of the rogue planet Atsalis, growing up in a militaristic and isolationist culture, enduring constant conflict with the powerful military of the multi-system empire, the GRU. When his planet is shattered by immense geological forces, he alone manages to escape into space. Stranded and against the odds, Task wages a single-man war against Atsalis' enemy, seeking vengeance for his planet and people.

2.

Task Landager is enlisted into the GRU Intelligence Directorate, performing candelestine operations where native GRU agents do not want to go. His mission: break into the heart of Atsalis and the GRU's mutual enemy, the Porcine Empire. Within its borders, he must find and destroy a   stellar superweapon under construction, built to be used against the GRU. What Task finds in hostile space reveals to be far more powerful than he or the GRU could imagine.

3.

The War is over! The evil Porcine Empire is destroyed by their own sword, and the GRU prevails! But the parades and banquets don't reach everyone.

Task Landager and the scientist Devillion Dayt are relocated to a remote military planet, far from the prying eyes of the public. Task is expected to handle the free minded scientist while struggling to raise the unexpected creation of the PIPD event, Exek, all while political forces begin eating away at the GRU's power structure, putting doubt and uncertainty on the three's future.

4.

Dayt is gone. Along with him, the two embodiments of his work: the Experimental FTL engine and the intelligent mechanoid ANBIS. The mishap draws the unwanted spotlight of the unstable GRU directly onto Task, and his failure in handling Dayt. Now alone with Exek, Task must use his connections and military training to keep himself and his son alive in a system that is having second thoughts.

A.

Officially, there never was an FTL mishap in the Baron system.

Unofficially, a rogue researcher by the name of Dr. Devillion Dayt managed to infiltrate a military black site and hijacked a battleship housing an experimental FTL drive of his own design. The resulting battle with GRU security forces led to an explosion that defied explanation.
