Nemesio and Berenice
- Brother and sister who got in an car accident together. Mother offered to save him and his sister, in exchange for his total loyalty. Mother transferred a big fragment of herself into Berenice to save her, making her have a second personality closely resembling Mother. The fragment personality can take over anytime it wants, and it slowly consumes Berenice's original personality.
- Nemesio, now Mother's personal steward, took on the role to accompany Berenice whenever she went on Ventures (to find people with Fragments in them). Mother altered his memories, so that she was the one that saved him and his sister, instead of, well, making them serve her.
Gwenevere
- Middle age woman who committed homicide and suicide. Married to an emotionally aggressive man who physically and sexually assaulted her daily. Victim domestic violence, there was a deep rooted hate for her husband she harbored in her heart. However, even deeper than that, she still loved him. He used to be kind and caring at the start of their relationship, but it all started going downhill when he lost his high-earning job for being caught groping the CEO's assistant. After that, it just went downhill at home, the husband taking his frustrations on Gwenevere. Then they found out she was infertile mostly due to Hypothalamic dysfunction caused by the constant physical and psychological stress she was put through daily. So the hate towards her husband became unbearable.
-After a night of dubious consensual sexual activity, her husband fell asleep right after, and Gwenevere got up for a glass of water. In the kitchen, she saw the knife stand. Grabbing one, she walked over to the bed, stood over her husband, and, as he woke up, she thrust the knife over and over into his chest, while crying. Finishing the act, the anger turned to despair, and she sliced her own throat. On her last moments, Mother came to her, offering the children she always dreamed of, and their unrestrained love for her. Accepting the offer, Gwen became able to produce little versions of herself at will, and Mother altered her memories to think it was her husband that had murdered her in cold blood, and then killed himself.
Lawrence
- Lost his son and never recovered from it. Started when his girlfriend disappeared one day, leaving him and his son behind. Lawrence tried to find better a better job, but only managed to get odd jobs here and there. Then he resorted to luck games. With it came the smoking addiction, and it got to a point where he got fired from his minimum wage job because he kept missing work. His son tried to be mature, and tried to inconvenience his dad as little as he could.
-One night, his son went home on his own and got kidnapped. That was the turning point for Lawrence's depression. It hit harder than ever, and he barely felt like living anymore. Stopped gambling because he didn't have any more money, which also got him evicted, cause he couldn't pay rent. Homeless, with just a couple of cigarettes in his pocket, some youths lured him into an alley, where they proceeded to beat him to death. As he was ready to pass, Mother's voice reached him, offering his son's soul back. Hearing his son's voice made him accept the offer, granting him the little creature that now always stands by his side. Consequently, Mother took Lawrence's voice in the trade, making the little guy by his side his voice of reason, and his literal voice. Mother didn't alter Lawrence's memories, deciding that he already had a reason to follow her.
Andrya
- Just a child who wanted a loving mother. Mother found her lost in the woods, crying, alone. Abandoned by her caretakers, her parents unknown, the only thing Andrya ever asked for, was a loving mother. She was the first Feather, and the one to give Mother her name.
Evelyn
- Evelyn was Chiron's chosen apprentice, when he worked with the Caudamalum family. She helped him with chores and experiments. She learned a lot about science, physics and literature while under his tutelage, and, as time passed, gained a special affinity for her professor.
