Prologue

The world used to not burn but it also contained constant pain and hate. That all changed in 2018, the year the world burned and never stopped. Immortality was supposed to be a fix to the broken world, a way to begin in a place that didn’t have the pain of death. The promise of such a creation drove people mad, but when has that ever stopped anybody before? The first two test subjects, twins, became different, powerful, every one of their senses and instincts, heightened. Countless brain and body scans, blood tests, and more proved an unaccounted for mutation in their DNA. 

When word about these results were brought to the attention of the public, madness started. The world was divided, those who believe this creation should be destroyed and those who saw the greatness of the new world. World War 3 was started but the Government had a secret weapon, the twins. They were powerful together and grateful to those who gave them that power. So they fought and the world burned. With more and more people dying the last bit of the Serum was used to turn as many people immortal that they could. This small group became known as the Immortal Assassins or IA. 

To try and make peace the Serum was redone with the mutations gone, just regular immortality for whoever wanted it and whenever they wanted it. This was the end to the main war but the world was still split, Government, those who want the Serum and Citizens and those who don’t, citizens. One group still fought for 800 years and was never caught. This group became known as Citizens Against Reconstructed Government Officials or CARGO. 

The IA deemed this group enemy number one and every mission to destroy them was led by The Twins, Thanatos and Enyo.
